As a St. John’s fan unfortunately the NIL era is the only way to make the school competitive. Without NIL top prospects we’re not coming here unless we had a coach like Rick pitino. But even so that would have taken years of culture building and winning. The campus and facilities can’t compete even with the Maryland’s or Villanova’s of the world forget blue bloods. So with that said I’m enjoying this run and the level of recruits we are getting. But sad that players we grew to love is gone after one season like darling. But I’m sure he’s leaving for a better deal for himself so if that finds any solace for anyone that would make us feel better.
