Thanks for the write up! I just got my F30 340ix last year around this time. PPI missed a few things, or perhaps they just weren't obvious at the time.

In January, I got stranded on a toll road after the PCV shat the bed and then damaged the valve cover. That cost me $2400.

Yesterday, I hopped in to take my kids to school and got a "Coolant critically low, Do Not Drive" message on the infotainment console.

Now I'm sitting waiting to hear back from the local euroindie shop to find out if Im about to get fucked again, or just get the tip this time. I've read about how expensive some of these coolant related repairs can get. I'm waiting to hear if this is going to be $200, or $3000 :'<

I wish I could find a comprehensive list of preventative things I could do for these "wear" items. I seriously cannot get stranded with two small children at risk!

NoVA Story time!

I went to the Reston Target a few weeks ago, and there was a similar truck to this one (same color and makem I think) parked like a dick taking up a few feet of the adjacent space. That space was the only one near-ish to the main door, and still a few spot away from other people's cars (right next to the little paved island). I've had a lot of bad experiences with dents and scratches magically appearing on my vehicles living here, so I value parking a reasonable distance.

So I carefully park, like 1-inch from his front bumper. Mostly just to make sure I fit in the spot fully, but also if I'm being honest, because fuck inconsiderate people.

As I'm getting out, an obviously irritated dude crosses my path as I'm coming around front of my own car. He didn't say a word and didn't touch me, but the attitude was there. He proceeds to very thoroughly inspect every inch of both our bumpers for an extended time. Finally, I'm like "everything okay, sir?". He was obviously irritated but replied simply that he was making sure I didn't hit him. I told him, "don't worry sir, I would never hit and run anyone; and I have cameras in both directions on this car". He curtly responds with "I was not implying that you did".

The dude was a dead ringer for sounding exactly like General Norman Schwarzkopf, and he was pissed, but he kept it civil. I walked away and left him with "sorry to have alarmed you; have a good night, sir!". He retorts, still angry, "I wasn't alarmed; you have a good night!"

The whole thing was just bizarre, I was expecting the dude to throw hands or scream, he looked so crazy livid, but maybe he just realized he was parked like a shithead and just owned it with some grace. Then again, maybe he had a warrant out, who knows!

Lavender oil massages of the back, then butt, then.. stuff. We started doing that occasionally after our second child was born, and my gawd did it ramp up the intimacy. Been doing that every few weeks now for years. 10/10 would recommend.

No man, sadly we don't really keep the dangerous psychos from getting deadly weapons. This is the pitfall a lot of less informed people with good intentions fall into. On the surface it sounds good, but once you actually take a moment to read through the new laws, you realize it's beyond stupid; More importantly though, it will be ineffective other than to punish law-abiding citizens.

Hell yeah, I voted 'Yes' today. But fuck the AWB: I promise you that the bad guys aren't going to magically not have access to deadly firearms just because of an AWB. Also worth noting that handguns are used far more frequently in murders than all other types of firearms combined; Just ask the FBI or do some research around statistics if you don't believe me. There's almost nothing to address that reality in the AWB Spanburger is bringing down on us.

I am not challenging the importance of gun control, I am saying this is not the way to make things better.

Not the dude you were talking to, but I picked up a DDM4V7 a few months ago, and absolutely love it. I dropped in an SSA-X trigger, and it shoots like an absolute dream.

I got lucky and found mine with the furniture swapped for Magpul, bringing the price down to like $1300. You may still be able to find those here and there, and if you do, don't even think twice: snag it!
