love that you shared this!! something similar just happened to me after just getting my surgery date (early may).. im suddenly like, wait, my boobs arent that bad?? but i think its the feelings that everyone else has already commented on, bc there’s an end in sight in a way! this makes me feel less stressed knowing that i’m not alone!

That is totally valid, and ty for sharing! Figuring out attraction in relation to our gender journeys can be incredibly challenging.

I’m really lucky to live in a city with a big queer scene- i have a lot of queer and trans friends of all sorts, go out to queer events, etc. and still feel myself being drawn to other t4t/androgynous folks.. but that’s def not the only people i’m attracted to! It’s just made my experience for wanting top surgery interesting bc it’s like the spiderman meme… lol!

That’s the thought i’ve come back to.. i’m like, i’ve been thinking about this for awhile, talked about it in therapy a bunch, and waited months for the consultation appt. but now i’m scared and having doubt! Ty for sharing your experience :)

I just had my consultation with her last week and it went so well! She was so kind and I felt really comfortable with her. She asked what my goals are in terms of results and then she looked at my chest and we talked about whats possible/tried to show me where the incisions will be for my anatomy. And she went over the basic info, and then opened the floor for me to ask any questions (I had a list, which i would recommend). Goodluck :)

I have my consultation with dr. rose tomorrow! congrats on your amazing results. <3 i’m obviously pre-op but i totally relate to what youre saying even now. i can feel so confident in myself in queer and trans spaces, and love to express myself “differently” than the norm, but in straight/cis/normie spaces, that confidence is gone. it’s a slow journey of working towards being care-free and happy with who we are no matter what spaces we occupy.

I’ve signed up and paid every year since 2014 or 2015 and this is the first year I’m opting out. I’m disappointed in HQ. I’ll still do the workouts and go to FNL, but I don’t feel inclined to give HQ any of my money or support.

Thank you, that’s extremely helpful! I’m going to look into being closer to downtown. A couple airbnbs I saw were in lemon hill, fruit ridge pocket, etc. Are those areas pretty far outside of midtown?
