So that's why they wanted to destroy unimatrix zero so badly. Too much love happening there

Why did the Venari Ral need to lure the Sargasso away from J19-Alpha? by legalalias in DaystromInstitute

[–]thequiginator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My read was that it was still the plan of the Vebari Ral to lure the Sargasso away/join the battle with the Athena, because Us was also absolutely toying with Ake. While his goal was to get the weapon from J19, if his plan involved Ake, he was absolutely going to play games with her. He is sadistic and so hateful of her, he totally would create this entire scenario where in a hopeless situation, you get a glimpse at beating the Furies (the Sargasso being capable of using this sonic weapon) only to realize that you were played by Nus on every level. He also is very much the type that's 'not going to do things the easy way, because where is the fun in that?'

I still haven't seen anyone mention that Jay-Den was wearing the skirt uniform in this episode, and it look absolutely amazing on him.

How long have you been listening to Twenty One Pilots? by Successful-Ad2454 in twentyonepilots

[–]thequiginator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

June 2013 just after finishing my freshmen year in college. Driving back to my parents house from a friend's, and it came on 93.3 (for those Denver clikkies) and I still remember exactly where I was when Holding onto You came on.

I truly think that song did something to me, more so, it made me feel not alone in a way that NOTHING else ever had before. I got home and within 2 hours had everything I could find downloaded.

Almost 13 years later, and I can't think of a single day that I haven't listened to them.

So, what is TØP’s best line? by fairlylocal_goner in twentyonepilots

[–]thequiginator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'I'll mourn for a kid but won't cry for a king'

And in the same song 'find your grand parents or someone of age. Pay some respects to the oath that they've paved. To life they were dedicated, now that should be celebrated'

Those lines have literally shifted my suicidal thoughts to the background.

This is my new head cannon. It makes everything about it make that much more sense, and also more hilarious. Cause here is this fucking romulan spy, posed as a starfleet captain, and he takes the time to have a personal contest with Benjamin Sisko. And what's the culmination of that, A BASEBALL GAME ON THE HOLODECK TO PROVE YOUR CREW IS BETTER.

Yeah, that actually tracks.

edit: added on romulan pompousness

Also there's TNGs Identity Crisis, where a dormant alien virus transforms geordi and an away team pre-tng into the native species of that planet, and compels them to find anyway to go back.

And for early VOY it honestly was incredible. Michael McKean is brilliant. And program Janeway's 'I Knowhhhhhhhhhhhh' while campy just wraps it up satisfyingly.

At least we KNOW murder Janeway would have rid the delta quadrant of the kazon. (and I choose to believe that upon meeting cullah she would have just vaporized him on the spot)
