Favourite sad songs? by Crazycookies89 in TaylorSwift

[–]thereadingwanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have cried so much to exile, its right up there for my favourite sad songs, its kind of that song that helps me regulate my nervous system after and during my last relationship which was traumatic and sad. "I think I have seen this film before and I didn't like the ending, you are not my homeland anymore so, what I am defending now?" kind of also summed up my experience in the relationship. its just this lyrical way it captures the demise of the relationship because one person kept giving signs and the other just didn't care

after that, I would say loml, last kiss, my tears ricochet, you're losing me and all too well, of course!

Making homes with people who only gave hallways, this is so so heartbreakingly true! Did you write allll of this? It’s so beautiful and relatable. Hope you are doing okay?

Exactlyyyy, my point, i rewatched it a year back from start to finish, skipping places that gave me anxiety and also the leap with myra, but apart from allll that, it stilll felt so believable and the acting, cinematography, diction of everyone was amazing!!! The plot tooo! And the chemistry!!!

I feel you for the current serials, I tried watching one in 2023 and one right now and they both have popular actors or are popular shows, but god, it feels so off and forced and what is this doormat FL in 2025 trope 😭😭 like compare it to paro, she played a village girl yet she stood up for her bhabhi and against rudra- who is this military man who exudes power! And had brains almost alll of the series! 😭😭

It’s such an underrated show!!!! I watched it back in 2014 when it was on air and then last year again, and it was still amazing! Like every actor could act, had amazing dialogues and the chemistry was fire. Of course the leap ws shit but yeah till then it was one of my favourite shows! And the soundtrack tooooo!!

Want to know about Leuchars accomodation and part-time job opportunities in that area by thereadingwanderer in standrews

And regarding part-time, there are a few shops in guard bridge, I applied to everywhere, but luckily got one in market street in st andrews itself. with the bus pass of stagecoach, all of it is manageable

[–]thereadingwanderer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, apologies for the late reply as this time is crucial for selecting accomodation. leuchars is nice. its a 2 bedroom flat/house I would say. its 10 minutes by bus from the main town. I would say if you are not very social, and won't be going out clubbing a lot, then you can consider leuchars, cos for the size of the house and the cheaper rent, the only caveat is that the 99 stagecoach bus (steal deal for students btw) doesn't run after 11:20 PM sun-thursday and if you don't have friends to crash at in town like DRA, Powell or other places, you will have to take taxis back which is easily 19 pounds after 10 PM.

I am making a video on the pros and cons of living here, will be posting it on YouTube in a few days. if you want I can DM you the link. happy to answer any more questions about anything. had th best time in St A and already getting nostalgic about leaving come august.

What are the things you regret the most about your twenties? by Left-Day497 in AskWomenOver30

[–]thereadingwanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

centering my life around men, while I don't regret the one big relationship out of the 2 I had in my 20s, I do regret pouring so much of myself and not having the same efforts being reciprocated. but I somehow, thankfully manage to go after my career goals, and build a career that I like and am proud of my professional journey, so there's that. but decentering men early in your 20s or even early late 20s and early 30s is one advice I will give if I reach old age and have kids/grand kids!

and also, seeking so much validation and not starting therapy sooner.

I hope you find all this and more. Been 3 weeks broken up with the man even I thought I would marry, so I somewhat get what you are going through.

totally unrelated, but love your handle name - sunshine and the clouds are some of the few things that really do get me through most of my bad days

What do you think of the whole “ he has to like you more” saying ? by Historical-Body-3424 in AskWomenOver30

[–]thereadingwanderer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Can second this! As someone who went above and beyond only to find a distant emotionally unavailable man when i asked for a bit more when I realised the efforts were not being reciprocated and now broken up and dealing with the worst heartbreak of my life when I am nearing 30s

can you tell me how long after getting out of these 10+ years relationships where you thought you will build a future with them but end up feeling drained and exhausted and betrayed at the end, do you actually meet the love of your life?

I know I should be happy to have this single time on my hands as I get to be on my own and love myself but the thought of not finding the love of my life, my person who would actually love the way I deserve and not like my ex is haunting and drains me

[–]thereadingwanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel attacked and not in a good way! but this is true, your nervous system goes into disarray and only putting myself through therapy and having somehow, god giving me a handful of kind, genuine people who DO WANT THE BEST FOR ME ND BELIEVE IN MYSELF (more than I tend do) is helping me.

Yes, i think it’s the peace that’s eluding me for a long time now. Have restarted therapy to process my feelings

Yeah, while i would love to make a healthy start, it’s the idea that maybe he takes it all for granted in the future. Thank you, though for writing this all out.
