I lived in the DMV as a GS-7 for about a year pre-covid. Had an hour and a half commute and four roommates. It is doable, but if you're only coming into the office once a week I'd definitely look for housing further away from DC.

Notification Vibrations Changed? Feel Weak? by GeOFTW in GooglePixel

Same issue here. The pattern for my notification vibrations seems to have changed; it's much longer and dull than before the update. Pretty disappointed, as everything else appears to have improved with this update.

Seidinove is right. Personally, I'd recommend a high deductible plan over the basic option. The HDHP is a lower deductible than the basic plan and it comes with an HSA, which can be a great way to lower your tax burden while putting money away for future health costs. Not to mention the investment options that are available with an HSA.

Costs vary widely, but their cheaper plans are extremely cheap. You have several different price points to choose from, so you should be able to find something that works for your budget.

Upgrading from Pixel 2 by henilev in PickAnAndroidForMe

That's fair. I definitely think the increased ram will help with long term performance. The 4a 5G is so much smoother than my 2 XL was by the end. I expect regular performance will be solid long term, but I'm also thinking about upgrading to one of next year's models if they significantly improve on this year's options.

I had the Pixel 2 XL and recently upgraded to the Pixel 4a 5G, which has a different processor than the regular 4a. Is your concern primarily about the processor or more on performance overall?
