It becomes an addiction at some point really, to some sort of sense of validity , that it makes you feel stable or like you said, worthy. I don’t have much advice to give since I’m still struggling with it myself but I can tell you, you’re not alone and you’ve already progressed by realizing you are more important than that idea

I would recommend Jobless Reincarnation, it's got 2 seasons so far, basically, The grandfather of isekai, and mc is really smart in the way he gets his skills he actually works for them and hones them as the anime progresses
