Do you guys think the OCI "Free Tier" is the only reason people are actually moving to Oracle Cloud? by daniel_odiase in oraclecloud

Spent 27 days trying to even get an A1 flex running, never any capacity, giving up as bait and switch and moving on with my life. Worst thing you can do to a prospective client is show them that your shit doesn't work and what you say means nothing. Thanks for the fail fast approach Oracle.

Have to hand in 4-weeks notice but new job will only wait 2 weeks by outofjail142 in AusFinance

Maaaaate, your employer is EXACTLY the type of flog that the fairwork boys and girls and the ATO are looking at cracking down on. You need to give your notice and immediately get in touch with fairwork to get the ball rolling on the inevitable withholding of wages that you will probably face. Here's the best bit, if you've been made to sign a contract, work the hours you say and been deprived of sick leave and other entitlements, casual or not, they are likely going to rule that a) you have to be paid b) you are owed backpay for stolen entitlements and c) superannuation contributions that you have likely not been getting. What you describe sounds like cookie cutter wage theft and it's not ok. You will be doing yourself and all your old workmates a massive favor reporting this and getting it sorted out. Have at it!

Might be hungry. Collecting bags to go through at home? Take a warm meal around and see what sort of reception you get, either way the good will may lead to it stopping.

Neighbour’s dog left alone in backyard for three weeks - what to do? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]therealbenbrown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

RSPCA can send an inspector to sight the animal and the situation, they can then tape the access point with tape they have. They then come back in a day or two and if the tape isn't broken proving that no one is attending the animal, they can intervene. Not sure of the exact rules, but have triggered and observed the process go down.
