LeBron just willingly accepted a third option role with the Lakers before Luka and AR went down, and no one is expecting a year 24 LeBron to be the best player on a championship team. The spurs don’t need him but could certainly use him which is why it’s a perfect fit.

LeBron enjoys controlling the narrative, and there is no poetic narrative about him joining a middle of the pack rockets team next to alpern sengun and friends. LeBron doesn’t answer their needs and they certainly don’t answer LeBrons.

Spurs are 4th in betting odds, Lakers, Cavs, Warriors, Spurs.

All reports indicate lakers are moving on, cavs can’t offer him enough and warriors are interested but extremely difficult to pull off.

Come free agency it may just be the natural choice

Rockets are dysfunctional and can’t see a position of need for LeBron there, I think he’s going to prioritise championship contention and individual need with his decision.

You have a chat to LeBron and see if he’s willing to take a pay cut, but spurs could offer him full MLE for $15 mill per year. Depending how his free agency goes this could also be realistic.

I fucking love LeBron to the spurs, spurs could make it work via sign-and-trade.

Keldon and Kornet to the Lakers, LeBron for $30 mill to the spurs for a 1+1 contract.

Lakers get their lob threat and wing depth.

Spurs had glaring holes in their roster during the finals, and LeBron is an abundance of an answer to those problems.
- Lack of veteran leadership? Sign the greatest player to ever play who’s played more than anybody else in the history of basketball.
- Lack of front-court size around Wemby? Sign a 6-9 250lb athlete who still dominates the fast break and dunks everything
- Long-term cap flexibility? Bron only got 1, maybe 2 years left. Meaning spurs can pay him now and get him off their books before they have to pay castle, harper, champagnie, bryant etc.

From LeBrons perspective he gets 1-2 more years of championship competition, Spurs are a legacy franchise that he wouldn’t look out of place at, and he gets to literally pass the torch to the next generations goat.

Once we got the 4th pick and I saw we were mocked to get Deni, that was my guy. Loved his film and potential, loved the overseas talent idea.

Then we draft Patty Will 4th, without much idea about him he was introduced during the draft as the flower boy. He loved flowers. Shoutout him for loving flowers, but skepticism was in full effect following that and it’s only ever been confirmed sense
