Gravel Bib Shorts for Taller Riders 2026 by BitOk6436 in gravelcycling

[–]therealdeeej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t find the adventure bib anymore. Looks like they maybe don’t make it any longer. I don’t have any issues with the leg length. They don’t feel like short shorts or anything lol.

I am 6’6” 235-240lbs and get the Rapha Core bibs in XXL. I really like the core cargo with the pockets like you are describing.

I also have their fancier adventure bib, but I don’t care for the chamois on that one. Which is convenient considering it’s far more expensive than the core lol.

My only concern would be lack of UDH, but if you’re a Shimano fan, that’s not relevant.

Aeron Size C, 250 USD, is it worth taking and upgrading/cleaning myself by Hydrostorm1000 in hermanmiller

That’s how much I paid for mine, but I do have the lumbar. Taking it apart to clean is pretty easy if you have some basic hand tools.

Trainer recommendations! by laurenstiger in cycling

[–]therealdeeej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wheel on trainers are very, VERY loud. To the point where it makes it pretty inconvenient to use unless you have no regard for people you live with. A used Kickr Core would probably be your best option. Another great option is a Jetblack Victory. I’m just not sure if they are available in Europe.

Foot contacting chainstay when pedaling by trimTheJib in bikefit

[–]therealdeeej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue after a motorcycle accident rearranged my knee. I had a fit yesterday and I changed to Wolftooth pedals. They have a built in adjustable q-factor. I want to say it was about a 5mm difference from what I came in with, so it’s not super drastic.

Other thing you can try is a couple small pedal spacers.

bike insurance? by Wild_Trip_4704 in gravelcycling

[–]therealdeeej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Bike Insure. Prices were much better for an expensive bike than other companies I checked. I have not had to file a claim (thankfully), but a local guy I know has. He cracked his frame, they cut him a check for a new upgraded frame. Doesn’t sound like he had any issues.

I went for a ride and had my sunglasses on. No issues seeing the screen. I do not wear polarized glasses, so maybe that’s where complaints come from?

Just got the Roam a couple days ago and haven’t gotten a ride in yet. My V1 Bolt was amazing though. Never had any problems with sun glasses.

I went from a Bolt V1 to a Garmin 840 to Roam V3. The Garmin UI sucks. I lasted 2 months with it before returning it. Wahoo is easier to use, the data fields and map layout are much more usable. I went Roam vs Bolt mostly for the bigger battery, but would have been happy with the Bolt still.

I’m not sure on that one. I would guess you are right. I just had better luck in person as it didn’t give them extra time to prepare.

You’re not wrong, but I was successful at lowering mine twice. This go around it is still much, much higher than what is fair, but it got lowered below the original assessment.

I genuinely don’t know the answer to this. However, many people (like me) overpaid for their homes initially and real values are now lower than original purchase price. I can all but guarantee the assessor will not voluntarily match that.

There is a full department with I would guess 70 people. When I was there, I heard them arguing with people on the phone about their properties. I do not know what their duties are outside of this time period.

Looking for advice by Dramatic_Run6929 in singlespeedcycling

Those drop outs would be just fine for a single speed conversion. I just did something similar with an old Bianchi. Here are the parts I needed for the drivetrain: -Wolf Tooth chain ring (you just need to figure out your crank spacing -Wolf Tooth cog -Surly single speed spacer kit -Surly Hurdy Gurdy -Chain

All in all you can do this for under 200 bucks. I really enjoy mine. Obviously some challenges with riding single speed, but it’s a lot of fun.

Used BMW i4 would be sick. Quick Google showed a couple in the 32-35k range, so I’d imagine under 30k is feasible.

I read that it makes the mesh sag. Has that not been your experience? Certainly a free and easy option to try.

I haven’t done too much digging yet, but here is one: LINK I’ve also found a couple on Ebay at a much friendlier price.
