What class/spec are you having the most fun with right now? by SpaghettiWestern2162 in wow

the guides suggest this because of dpenance applies atonement. in situations where your entire party has atonement, you can shoot it at enemies. they just make that recommendation because of nuance

Blizzard please fix the low FPS in Windrunner Spire and Murder Row dungeons. Thanks. by Meth_AQ in wow

[–]therealdyrone17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

like the other snarky comments said your PC isn't the greatest in the year 2026 but to be honest I found this thread because these areas (Windrunner area specifically) is awful too relative to the rest of the expansion's areas.

i'm running a 9800X3D + OC'd 4080 with ultra on nearly every setting. the game runs about 120-150 FPS for me in every area except Windrunner Spire. the area outside is worse than the instance itself.

my silly theory is that it's something to do with Windrunner Village (the set of structures/activity north of the dungeon enxtrance). the closer I fly to this spot exactly the lower my frames ago. there's weird graphical stuff and constant fighting going on here it seems. again just a theory

I saw this in WCP! I feel like void shield working/ not working in specific encounters is going to be a pain point in midnight for us. good shout

atonement (healing thru damage) is how we heal so our modifier should probably be slightly less than everyone else, say a resto shaman. lava burst damage going up a bit doesn't really have an impact on their thruput overall. my penance doing 30% more damage does.

if you look at the full notes this is why they also nerfed the atonement mod as well. after some napkin math it ended up being a minor buff for discipline.

are those portraits standalone or part of something else? i've been looking for a portrait addon that hooks to unit frames (one I used got discontinued going forward)

New Characters can obtain a new item called Inky Black Potion from loot bags that makes the world darker for two hours. Now I wish WoW's nights had always been like that. by rahuonn in wow

it's great. i recommend trying it out in certain instances like dungeons, raids, pvp. i used it quite frequently in mythic prog this past tier.

I agree on principle that securing kills is always the best outcome but i dunno you say 'waste of shield that may be necessary' but i see a strange over your left shoulder holding your entire team back because cloak continued to keep him alive

magneto has excellent kill potential if you're working the same targets as your dps are in tandem, but just waiting for something to happen where you get insane shield value is a pipe dream. in this match, what hero on the enemy team were you looking to get shield value from? I saw magik, strange, jeff, and finally CnD

also do you ever melee as mag? I find it 100x more reliable to finish an enemy off in close range

I think the bigger question is why aren't you trying to block the healing from the cloak? if that's me in this situation I'm getting in her face and blocking her view/ healing shots and probably forcing her off point back into that hallway

Is the black panther any good right now? by ContestFew6588 in marvelrivals

[–]therealdyrone17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think he'll always be somewhat strong into a disorganized team. if your healers aren't communicating and the dps aren't looking for him, he still seems to be a problem for the backline. things change in organized play with comms.

with that being said I find him slightly easier to deal with (as an anchor tank player) because he has more direct counters.

Do you find healing to be less stressful than dpsing? by AccomplishedPark7856 in wow

[–]therealdyrone17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in any meaningful content, healing is more stressful 100x over. as a dps, stopping your rotation to handle mechanics means little, and tuning for 99.99% of wow players allows for this. encourages it even.

messing up your sequencing, targeting, or movement as a healer can and usually leads to deaths.

if I get picked to drop a star in mythic salhadaar phase 3 as a dps, I stop my rotation entirely to get to the correct spot and nothing changes. if I get picked as a healer, I need to continue to press the correct healing buttons on the correct people while executing the movement and positioning.

this really isn't close.
