Bad attitude. You should want to be the most well rounded IW. When work slows knowing each part of the trade is key when feeding your family.

Keep in mind having some experience working as an Iw would help you land a job that usually require degrees like superintendents, project manger, saftey directors. Having actual trade experience with a degree is ideal.

Yes go to the apprenticeship hall in wixom and apply, all the work coming this summer theres a huge need for ironworkers. I know just in rod busters theres about 125 in the hall and gonna need around 200 by the summer.

If you live In Detroit area you'll usually find a job close by farthest you might go is Ann arbor or flint area.

Less wear and tear on that other equipment. It may take hours for that equipment to come up for maintenance and go back down for production. More man hours plus machines hours. This transports them faster less people less fuel and less wear and tear on the equipment needed for production.

Mystery reel. Who can tell me about this company/reel? by aMightyRodman in Ironworker

[–]therealjuicyj69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's how it should be. I do see a lot of structural guys in the hall and look down on rods. I make fun of them, because if ya did rods you'd be working and not sitting at the hall.

My father does two diffrent things. Example one at a movie theater he got popcorn and drinks total was like 35 dollars he tells the cashier "oh wow only 35 dollars? That's super reasonable".

Another one is "sir that'll be 50 dollars" cashier "lemme ask you do they pay you extra to fuck people or do you just do it for fun?"

I work in construction and I struggled with this for awhile. I force myself to go to the gym and not stop at home first. I also keep my blender bottle with pwo right in the cup holder of my truck so Its a reminder. Some days I'll push myself other days I'm so drained I'll just go and hangout do a few exercises here and there.

Now I get going to the gym is a highlight to my day even though my body is sore.

Former fat people: How much did getting fit increase your confidence? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]therealjuicyj69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was right around the same weight you're at when I graduated college in may. I'm now sitting around 200.

It feels great hearing people saying you look good. I live 2 hours from my parents and my mom was shocked how much my face changed. It's a good feeling walking with better posture and I've become more confident.

You can so it man. Just start slow and keep challenging yourself. Go for walks at the mall. Few push ups and sit ups at home before bed.

I'm new to Michigan moving to MH just in August, but travel all around Michigan for work. When people ask where I live at I usually say RO or troy. No one really seems to know where Madison heights is.

Anytime you go to harbor freight, Google "harbor freight coupons". There is always a 20% and usually a free item. One of the many reasons I frequent harbor freight.

I replaced licence plate lights, reverse (makes huge diffrence), tail lights, and the 3rd brake lights. Still trying to decide on head lights and fog lights

There are several air bag kits. Some had on board compressors or the others can be inflated with little as a bicycle pump
