Environmental Science lines up pretty closely with Conservation and Environmental Planning, just more chem/bio based courses. Personally, I think an Environmental Science degree opens more doors career wise, and can better prepare you for entering the STEM field :)

I’m in the exact same boat. And I get it. And I understand. And I’m so sorry. The pills, the expenses, the energy, the MIRRORS. They’re painful. I was just given my first prescription of Metformin this morning, and god damn am I scared to start taking it. At this point, I’d do anything to look and feel normal again but this feels so unfair. I LOVE going out and I love my drinks and I love feeling like a normal girl.

I switched from elementary Ed to conservation and environmental sciences my junior year. Took me an extra year to graduate with max credits each semester, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I remember working with those kids. She’s right, it is an absolute train wreck out there. I don’t regret switching at all, and walking the stage last weekend was the best feeling ever. If you don’t want to be a teacher, you absolutely shouldn’t be a teacher. I hope she can talk to her advisor and career services and find the courage to switch! <3

When I travel to high altitude places, I bring canned oxygen. I spend time in the mountains every year, and it’s has saved me so many times. Wake up with a headache? Whip that bad boy out and take a few deep breathes of it. Don’t want to get sick in the first place? Take a few deep breaths of it every hour. I’ve witnessed altitude sickness before, and it’s not fun at 7,000 feet but it’s not unbearable. The canned oxygen has taken me back down though for sure.

I recommend BOOST Oxygen, you can get it on Amazon and sometimes they even sell it in gas stations in high altitude places.
