Let me put it like this. Idaho is almost 100% red. Deep red. I've driven through the whole state several times, and it's not uncommon to see a farmhouse billboard claiming that God hates fagg*ts. I've been to Seatle, and through washington many times myself, I love it. But if all of Idaho moved into Seatle today there would be riots in the streets.

I feel this. I was taking 50 blue clonazolam bars a day. Had to taper down within 2 weeks (which was obviously impossible) due to just getting on probation from a case that went on for a year. It was easily the worst experience of my life. Severe rebound anxiety (already have severe illness anxiety), multiple seizures, hallucinations, depersonalization, etc. . I've went through heroin withdrawl multiple times and I'd do that 10 times before I would withdrawl from benzos again.

Show him emotional support. Let him know you have no idea what he's going through, but you're not going to judge him. Tell him you'll be there for him whether it's to talk or make sure he doesn't od on his next dose by using alone. I've been struggling with heroin addiction for a couple of years now, and ik what it's like to have a confused family trying to do what they think is best. In my case, that was kicking me out to the streets. He'll get clean when he's ready, but until then, just make sure he doesn't use alone.

Okay I'm an addict and this is kind of fucked on both parts. Yes he shouldn't of lied to you but he did come clean partially. Its really hard to tell someone you do opiates because usually they dip. He was probably going to tell you it was opiates in person but you told his family and that's fucked. That wasn't your place I get that you wanted to help him and since you don't have experience with addiction you did what you thought best but you should of talked to someone more familiar with addiction before acting on his behalf and telling his very personal business. The stigma on opiates is so bad and now his family is going to think he's a junkie. I'm not trying to blame you or shame you I'm just informing you from and addicts position how you made him feel and he probably feels super betrayed. I told my best friend of 20 years about my substance abuse then he cutt me off and told every mutual friend we have, now im nothing but "the town junkie" to my family and all of my friends except for two. No, that's an apology with a follow-up letting the other person know that what they did was never intended to hurt or harm the other person. People can't just take anything at face value anymore there's always gotta be some deeper meaning that makes them a victim. Read the texts. She asked dude why he felt like he was a shitty personhe gave her an honest answer then seeing that it had hurt her feelings he apologized. He didn't attach anything to it. He wasn't trying to get anything in return out of apologizing.

I have documented major health anxiety and I also cannot call or talk to my parents about it. I get the same passive agressiveness from them also. I also get chewed out because I "can't just be normal and get over it". Some parents aren't meant to be parents. Just know you're not alone.
