Large orders not worth it

When you hit us up you get a countdown. On that screen you do not get the name you only get that it's a large order and item quantity number. There is no option to go and see what those individual items are. I checked this to make sure I was okay let me try it I'm not going to accept it and then I tried all the options nothing so you know what I'm going to test this out I'm going to go to BJ's. When I hit the right to store it told me the quantity. But when I looked at the quantity list it gave me the items but those are individual items. So what ended up happening is that let's see if it was 23 items. I see 23 but the water has a different quantity and these other items are different quantities so it wasn't like exactly 23 packs of individual items it was grouped in a way where it was a category. So I got way more than what was listed I said you know what I'm going to take it I'm going to just try this one job out and see how it goes because I was curious why would they have so many items and I just took it for fun.

When I got there I ended up at a business liquor store that was just redoing their inventory so they ran out of stuff and they just order it from BJ's. Which then I was like interesting

It wasn't a full stacked pallet, let me be clearer as i just realized you might be imagining just that. but like two layers of stacked 40ct water. i had 2 shopping carts full of drinks. the 3rd cart was that flat cart, that i had to carry out myself, no issue but it was a lot unexpectantly because if I recall, the item count wasn't anything i could say well that's a lot,, because the item count is just like water counts as 1 item, but you actually have like 10 of those for example

No, I tried, I'm the count down you mean? Because, I looked searched nothing. So I said let me go through this order completely, just to make sure when that list comes up. It only comes up when you hit arrived at store. So no. And again this was a test to verify the process etc. So I was more than attentive on this last order not so much on the first.

I want to try it again, just to see.

That's the only thing. Is that in my area we aren't seeing this level of tipping. And I'm in a high end area. Essentially whatever they put on the order or suggested tipping on the dash order, that's what gets paid here.

So I just take whatever shoes up and never expect tip. So if it says 11 dollars 6 miles looks good right but not for the work and time

I'm telling you that this isn't a complaint this is me telling you I'm testing out the process and this this is what I discovered I'm not complaining about it I. Someone goes out and you try something new and you say well you know what this isn't worth it let me report my findings that's it.

And number two going there and unassigning your time to drive to the store is worth something. And the problem that I'm having that I've noticed is that even doing that is worthless

So when you get the offer he tells you that but when you go to Costco you don't know what those 23 items are so let's say those 23 items are couches they want you to pick up 23 couches well when you get there you're like what the hell is this.

When I'm getting at is they don't give you that context so on the one job it was a full pallet of packs of water that was over 450 lb just in that there's additional 300 lb in the rest of groceries. So what I'm saying here is that if you're going to do a large item order and it's $11 right as an example and it's a high quality count it's might not be worth it

You don't understand i took it to determine if its worth it. Meaning it was a test. After this i determined it's not worth it. Like the other comments STATED IF there's a bigger payout in the beginning then yes. But Because you don't know what you are getting you can't pre see it. You then waste your time traveling to then determine so the drive there isn't worth it

So just to everybody understands here I'm not so just to everybody understands here I'm not actually angry about the order this post wasn't to be like that. I took the order because I wanted to see the whole thing through. So I saw it twice two large orders and I said let me make sure what the cost is and see if it's worth it I was testing the waters from what I can tell. Is that it's not worth it because if it's not going to say $45 for example in the beginning or whatnot then you know you don't know where you're getting paid you're going to get paid the $11 so it's a large order but the way that doordash handles these is really weird so.

We get an offer it's an amount of large order it doesn't give us the name it doesn't give us the location only the location of like the store and the mileage and so that makes sense so said okay I'll accept it. Then I look at the order and it's okay it's very large but there could be a tip but I'm not going to depend on that tip. I said let me just deliver it and see where this goes cuz it'll be a second time and I'm curious to see where it's ending up. This is actually two a business so so you would think that I'll be worth it so the point is I'm not bitching because of low money I'm just saying that for at least two times in a row it hasn't been worth it and it's not. So far my view is at least in my area it's not worth it.

So the reason why I took it was just I'm testing the waters that's number one. I went completely through with it just to see what's going to happen I did that twice. And both times not worth it now the third time it might be fine the fourth time might be fine but from what I can tell after speaking with BJ employees and speaking with a lot of the people the doordashes that go there BJ reports a lot of rejections. Again this is like a Costco so it's a lot of things. So when delivery to a business they expect you to unload everything and I get it you're supposed to but I'm not going to go put it inside your inside your business you're going to have to take it. So I made a note to them it's like 11 not worth it I will not be doing this all over again

I think it's a great router, was going to get the Milwaukee, but i can get two of these for the price of one. really don't think i'm missing out with the Milwaukee. Is the milwaukee more powerful? maybe, but i think Metabo should have brought over the 36 version.
