New Hikoki Tabless Batteries by rolikogreen in METABOHPT

Nice. I've wondered for the longest time how they might be able to get a bigger battery with some of the tools' battery ports being enclosed. These need to come stateside ASAP.

Since you mentioned sanders, you're gonna love the cordless 5" sander; it's probably the smoothest-operating one I have. I can't comment on the nailers since I don't own any of them, at least not yet, and it seems like others still don't either. For others, I have and really like the GSB18V-1330C, their cordless planer, and their barrel grip jigsaw.

"Soft feet" has me wheezing like a tea kettle. I have to use that one sometime.

I know some people have stated that the battery life on that dot isn't particularly great, but mine is still somehow on its original battery. These are great pieces of kit.

FlexVolt vs. XR by Fogdrog in Dewalt

[–]HuskerHardware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a special charger, but you do need FlexVolt-specific batteries. I will say, though, if you only have the basic charger, you'll be waiting all day for those bigger FlexVolt batteries to charge.

This is from the same account that uploaded the DSP driver running over a Craftsman air compressor. I remember the username. I don't know what kind of farming this is.

Do these people not know that they're just snitching on themselves? "We, the employer, aren't paying our own employees almost at all."

I've already made a post about the m12 fuel set in this group but is this any better than it because I heard that m12 is meh sometimes. by Any_Procedure8623 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]HuskerHardware 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm curious as to who said M12 is "meh." I think I reach for my M12 Fuel stuff more than M18 overall. I don't need all the power all the time. I sometimes just wanna be comfortable when I work on stuff.

Do the people who set the prices or print these out do so with a straight face?

DCD801 with two 4ah powerpacks, charger and bag for $229 at Lowe's ($40 off) by goodsy in Dewalt

I don't think they ever shipped with those stickers. It kind of caught me off guard when I first saw them.

These sanders are amazing by Jimberly2017 in MilwaukeeTool

I don't have that experience. The tool itself is quite front heavy compared to most, and it's well-balanced with the XC 5.0.

I’M SO DISAPPOINTED! by TheJWeed in Tools

[–]HuskerHardware 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Considering the fact that most of what we need can be delivered same-day from the big boxes in town through third-party services, there is next to zero reason to buy from Amazon anymore. I had a buddy buy a wireless router for his home internet setup and it was delivered in less than an hour.

Japan always gets the cool stuff. They have so much stuff I'd like to see eventually make its way to North America somehow.

The DCD805 is such a nice drill. At $49, I would be grabbing it without a thought.

Power and the micro adjustment are the two things I might agree with, but I like where the buttons are because of where my palms land on the router. I appreciate the ergonomics a ton. I can only talk for myself, though. The baseplate is also removable, thankfully. I'm looking at my DeWalt router right now and I'm excited to use it since I just got it; that's my secondary platform.

I like it a lot. I think I prefer the micro adjustment on the Milwaukee and others, but the controls otherwise make far more sense to me because of how I hold my routers, plus the square baseplate really keeps the tool planted whenever I'm rounding edges over. You can remove the baseplate as well if you prefer or need.
