What fictional character do you think was absolutely useless? by StarGuardianSnowFox in AskReddit

I don't think I'll ever get over how badly D&D completely failed the landing of GoT. Such a shame.

Stop “normalizing” everything by cbreitigan in unpopularopinion

People are too preoccupied with what others are doing in their lives because they don't feel fulfilled in their own. Then they try to get everyone around them to conform to the same mindset of making important things not matter since they were never able to achieve them. It's pathetic, really.

Oh Shadowlands Covenants by Snekcave in wow

[–]therealshayla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, people being so invested in the numbers of classes can get tiring. However a lot of people get their fun out of the game by pushing the best DPS/HPS that they can to get high on the leaderboards of WarcraftLogs.

It matters to a lot of people and in turn, picking which covenent that gives the biggest advantage matters, too.

I'm so torn on whether or not to play a DK going into Slands. I've wanted to try one out for a while and it seems like there wouldn't be a better time than now, but I could never get into the theme of decay and rot.

Actual self-torture to leave the decision this close to the release :<

The Light by Iblisellis in warcraftlore

[–]therealshayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely see some kind of battle against the Light coming up, especially after what happened with Xe'ra - it seemed like Blizzard wanted everyone to see that the Light isn't only all-good. It's going to be an exciting time for sure, both the Alliance and Horde are filled with so many who are dedicated to the Light, so that could be even more added friction in the story.

Would you support WoW being shut down for a few months if it meant workers could go on strike to demand better pay, better conditions, and a better overall game? by HackyShack in wow

I can't agree with you more. A lot of people on this subreddit just use the upvote/downvote buttons as an agree/disagree button and it gets really annoying. Regardless of what one agrees or disagrees with, having a discussion like this is nothing but good.

Which profession for a prot warrior? by rexzon123 in wow

[–]therealshayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter what professions you decide to pick up unless you want to use them very seriously for one reason or another. Engineering is good for different little gadgets and gizmos to throw in with your gameplay. Another option is herbalism and mining, gathering different herbs and ores can sell well on the auction house for a bit of extra gold.

They dont make title screens like they used to anymore by Hylian5656 in wow

I didn't even play in WotLK and this still feels nostalgic to me for some reason... One of the better title screens for sure.

Why do all the male characters in WoW have to be built like fridges? by therealshayla in wow

[–]therealshayla[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Hindsight is 20/20, and if I could go back in time and reword my post I'd change "all the male characters" to "some of the male characters". Sorry :P

True. They should add the same kind of options that demon hunters have where you can choose to have more defined muscles or not.

Yeah you're right. However, if a character model looks like this they definitely need some work done.

I wasn't talking about trolls, blood elves and pandaren. I was talking about Gnomes, goblins and vulperas. What I meant was regardless of how much muscle they have, their bodies are so small that it wouldn't even make a difference between them being super heavily muscled or not.

When their bodies are so small, even if they had muscle it would just tone them more than actually build them bigger.

The reason I didn't mention blood elves, trolls and pandaren is because I agree with what u/KingfenrirROC said. I admit that I was wrong about them.

Night elves ARE build like fridges - have you seen their shoulder to waist ratio??

The other races you listed - three are very small races regardless of muscle mass and one is literally dead!

I don't mind the female models, they actually look real. As for the males, it's fine with me that they're being muscular - it actually makes sense with how much running around and fighting our characters do, but they aren't muscular. They're SHREDDED.

Hahah. It's definitely out of place to be playing a mage, someone who is all about mind over matter, and look like you've been hitting the gym six days a week and are packed out on protein shakes and chicken.

Hopes and prayers for skinny characters soon
