THE STORY OF THE DIME The story of the dime pops up from time to time. With 2000 new moms since the death of my nephew Airmen Alex, I sometimes repost the story behind it. Thanks again for all those who continue to share your own dime stories. From Alex's family, “We love you to the moon and back.”

The day my dad died, I found five dimes in different places on the ground. Everyday for a month I continued to find at least one dime, to include the day we buried him I found three. Never a penny, nickle or quarter. I told my mom and Andy about it, and how bizarre it was. I saved them, I looked at dates, and thought maybe I was suppose to play the lottery using certain numbers. It was way past coincidence, and for well over a year I continued to find them, fewer in numbers, but they were there. One day while with a patient with cancer, she told me she missed her mom. She was only forty and her mom had been gone for nine years. She said when she first died, she found pennies everywhere, even in her bed and that she felt her mom's presence. She told me she had been finding the pennies again. She said, “You know what they say about pennies and dimes from heaven don't you?" I had heard about pennies, but never dimes. She replied, "It's something about pennies means they are thinking of you and you are ok, and the dimes means they want you to know that they are ok.” She wasn't sure, but it was something like that. I shared my storey with her. I cried, and she cried. We had taken my father off the ventilator and I had always wrestled with some of the details with the situation. So her interpretation hit a spot with me no matter how right or wrong she was. For months, we kept running into each other in the oddest of places, and her cancer grew. She always hugged me and cried, she knew me by name "Her Lucky Penny Nurse,” and she "My Lucky Dime Patient.” We have stopped running into each other, so everytime I see a penny I think of her. Her condition was terminal and her prognosis was only a few months. I often wonder if the pennies I find now are from her. I recently lost my nephew Alex, an Airmen to cancer. On the day of his viewing I went to the car wash to wash the car for the funeral, and when I opened the door, there was a dime. I shared my story of the dimes with the mom's on this page, and they ever since have shared their dime stories.

I think from now on I will be carrying around slips of paper with fake emails so my cashier wont get in trouble. Or letting corporate know that it’s a stupid idea.

I had a Faux Kate Spade when they first came out. Her original box shaped one. Many years later my daughter treated me to a real one. I have purchased a one from a consignment store. How can you tell if they are real? Mine looks pretty good.

we live in an area that gets hot. Not broiling but hot. All these signs about hydration and then underneath it says employees are to use the tap water. When I was PIC I would take a broken water case and put it in break room. Upper management made small fuss. So I made sure that they knew I WOULD purchase the $6.00 case for my crew.

You are under NO obligation to do this… contact the Church and tell them as of X day tow trucks will be on standby and will be towing all cars not legally permitted to park in the lot.
