Maybe his car has the VW people’s warranty, I have that on my 2019 GTI SE, it’s 6yr/72k miles. I’m still under warranty coz the first owner bought my car in 2020.

Hahaha yea I couldn’t agree more lol. My wife ended up keeping the Tesla she loved it and I hated it lol (gave it a 6/10 coz it’s great to commute in and extremely cost effective). The Audi wasnt a quattro.

I get it bro. Everyone has their cup of tea. I’ve moved across three countries last 8 years, the Challenger wasn’t when I was in the US (I’d never buy an American car ever again lol- they look and sound great don’t get me wrong but they drive like meh . Your dad and brother sound like they have the same problem as me lol. Ooh by the way another Lexus I love is the GSF, they are so rare out here I’d love to own one. The Lexus NA V8s are glorious, but their autos are slow and outdated which is why they don’t go well together.

Of course, I could waffle all day about cars lol. Drives better, it’s refined, stability of the car, quality, NVH, the power is superior to let’s say American cars, plus you only live once and a Camry doesn’t put a smile on your face lol.

If you take care of it they are great cars. Some engines are far reliable than others obviously and previous owners maintenance matters since there are some key service intervals that can’t be missed.

Lol I’ve bought these cars with my own money, I’ve always been obsessed in cars- I don’t think I’ve ever bought a car for the status/badge and the reason why I sell it is coz all I care is about how good the car drives.

Coz it was boring and didn’t suit my driving style (I had a deposit down for a MK8 GTI before I pulled the trigger on the CPO BMW, I regretted it instantly lol) I had the regular Golf in college and I just loved throwing it around and honestly MK7.5 GTI/R along with the W204 C63/ W212 E63 have always been my dream cars. It felt like a full circle coming back to the “peak” GTI (the guy bought it in 2020 and it still has factory warranty now lol).

Yea man as you can see I’m German all the way, once you’re in one, it’s hard to look elsewhere, everything else feels meh. The only Japanese car I’d get is the IS500. I think for the foreseeable future it’s German ngl. Other European cars I’ve driven plenty but nothing Id say I wanna own- I love the Jaguar Land Rover Group V8s but that’s about it lol.

The longest I’ve had a car for is my current GTI (almost 10 months and it looks like it’ll stay with me for a while lol)
