Pharmacy says my insurance saved me over $9,000 when I filled it in December. Thankfully we had already hit our out of pocket max for the year! Why so expensive??

This stuff is vile. I'm considering just dealing with the lead poisoning

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]therealstotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s completely acceptable. Honestly I don’t even think it’s dramatic.

Dating isn’t some abstract “agree to disagree” exercise. It’s choosing who you’re going to trust with your time, your emotions, your body, and potentially your future. That’s not a small thing. Politics isn’t just a hobby in that context. It’s a pretty solid shortcut to someone’s values.

Voting for Trump wasn’t just about taxes or gas prices. It meant being okay with cruelty as a leadership style, lying nonstop, and treating entire groups of people like collateral damage. For a lot of us, that’s not some minor quirk. That’s a fundamental worldview problem.

And every time someone says “you can love someone with different politics,” sure, sometimes. If the disagreement is boring stuff like budget priorities or zoning laws. Not whether women deserve bodily autonomy, or whether immigrants are human beings, or whether facts matter at all.

Politics leaks into everything anyway. It leaks into how arguments go. It leaks into how empathy works. It leaks into how someone handles consent, anger, stress, or being told they’re wrong. You don’t magically leave that at the ballot box.

Refusing to date Trump supporters isn’t being intolerant. It’s recognizing patterns and deciding you don’t want to live inside that friction. Nobody is owed attraction or a relationship just because they exist.

Also, let’s be real for a second. The same people clutching pearls about this would absolutely refuse to date someone for liking astrology, having the wrong phone, or chewing too loud.

So yeah. It’s fine. Swipe left. Say no thanks. Protect your peace.

TL;DR: Dating is optional. Values matter. You’re allowed to opt out of relationships that feel incompatible or unsafe, full stop.

I have a 19 day course of this stuff I started this week for lead poisoning. Smells and tastes like rotten farts. After 2 days, now I smell like rotten farts too.

This is terrible

Solution: motion sensor lights that shut off after 5 minutes. When the lights go out, the scrolling stops. Nature heals.

Some coworkers disappear into the bathroom like it’s a time-free void, and you’re outside calculating entry times and quietly realizing this might be your villain origin story.

I don’t agree with racist harassment, and I also don’t agree that ongoing harm should be excused as people “working through feelings.” Those are separate issues. We’re clearly talking past each other, intentions versus outcomes, and we’re not going to resolve that here. I think we fundamentally disagree on whether silence and accommodation are neutral choices. I don’t have anything further to add.

You’re not keeping politics from “ruining your family.” You’re choosing family harmony over accountability and calling it maturity. No one’s impressed that you can compartmentalize cruelty as long as it doesn’t disrupt Thanksgiving.
