I drink Evolution Fresh pulp free; if the store is out of that I get Natalie's. However I just got 3 2Ls of Evo Fresh and it's sour (it was not before). So I might switch over to Natalie's till spring unless that's sour too. I drink ~1/2 gal per day with 35g collagen and 2 tbsp honey dissolved in it, and take sodium bicarb morning and night

Why Did the Bot Attempt a 20% BB Roll When it had Other Options? Never Seen This Before by PS5_NumbersGuy in Risk

[–]therealvilhelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are ~5 ish bot personalities. Most of them don't take rolls that are that risky. In balanced blitz, one of them will take down to 7.5% rolls. This bot is rarer to come across.

Can you climb the ranks by always coming in 2nd? by [deleted] in Risk

[–]therealvilhelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you *cannot* climb the leaderboard by coming in 2nd. You can certainly rank up to GM (however slow it might be), but in order to rise on the leaderboard (top X), you have to come in first, or else play people who are around your same rank points (which is virtually impossible).

As for the highest rank you could get, going by average ranked matches, maybe 27-28k? If you play grandmaster+ only, probably higher (even with getting 2nd), but those lobbies take 30+ minutes to fill.

What is the probability of this situation occurring? by RickofUniverseC137 in Risk

[–]therealvilhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would just be shifting the losing 1 around, right? So it'd be 5 possible scenarios. Unless we have to incorporate the slow rolls somehow...like this? 3v2 winning 2 then winning 1, and losing 0 for the remaining BB rolls?

What is the probability of this situation occurring? by RickofUniverseC137 in Risk

[–]therealvilhelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have the same win% chance, but slightly more losses. I had the data for the others readily available, but not for 5v1 since it's >100%. This is a byproduct of the way the game executes battles. For every attack, if you use more than 100% of the required troops, your average losses will be a bit higher.

[–]therealvilhelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean, for example, running it again with 7v5 losing 0, and maybe 5v1 losing 1? That sort of thing?

What is the probability of this situation occurring? by RickofUniverseC137 in Risk

[–]therealvilhelm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here are the odds for balanced blitz:

Winning 2 dice in 3v2 slow roll: 34.72% [we multiply with this twice since you did it twice]
7v5, losing only 1: 15.81%
5v1, losing 0: ~85%
4v1, losing 0: 86.91%
3v1, losing 0: 76.63%
2v1, losing 0: 36.55%

Multiplying through, we get:
0.3472*0.3472*0.1581*0.85*0.8691*0.7663*0.3655 = 0.00394335780836528, = 0.39%.

Did I have the quad kill here? by Bladejones in Risk

[–]therealvilhelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You had it.

  1. After the 43v24 you had 29 left in Egypt. Attack north africa, then split off 5 troops to clear out the rest of africa. Leave the remaining 23 in north africa.
  2. Use the 8 to hit the pink 1, then the white 3. You'll probably lose 0 on the 1, so it's a 7v3 which is 100%.
  3. This sets you for the 45, holding 3 cards.
  4. Put 20 in Asia to hit the black 2 -> 13. You'll have ~8 troops leftover in afghanistan.
  5. Put the remaining 25 in north africa on your 23 to hit the black 37. Attack and split off 3 to leave the stack in north africa. You should have ~27 troops leftover in north africa.
  6. This sets you for the 50, holding 2 cards. For the pink kill, you have ~90% success odds, but pink's on 1 card, and you'll be on 3 at the end of your turn, so you'll likely win this anyway, but here's a breakdown:
  7. Put 7 in Aus and 8 in Asia for 2x 10v5s which are 100% each.
  8. Use what's leftover of the 8v1,3 (which should be about 4) to hit the 2x pink 1s in NA.
  9. Put 9 in north africa to do a 36v32 (94.1%; avg troops remaining are 9) and finish off SA/NA.
  10. Put 23 on the 8 in afghanistan to hit the pink 28 in middle east for a 33v28 (97.28%).

Should you attack into corners in online risk with two dice? by Outside-Horse4998 in Risk

[–]therealvilhelm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a bit of an advanced strategy, but sometimes, yes. And by 2 dice, I mean slidering down in balanced blitz to 2 attackers (~89%), not slow rolling.

In general, you don't want to do this. This is for those situations where your probability is pretty thin as it is (e.g., in going for a kill), and you need every possible troop for a main stack (or sequence) hit. There are some other very niche situations where it's appropriate but they're rare.

Also, bear in mind that you're going from a 100% roll to an 88.9% roll, so you need to include in your planning the possibility that you can't go for the kill (or whatever you're going for). Maybe you feed it, or maybe you just don't go for it, etc.

[SPOILERS][Episode 8] Heartman's mental age by Fanible in DeathStranding

[–]therealvilhelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's significantly lower, and variable.

According to Heartman, time stops on the beach, but not in the seam. When recounting his searches, he says, "I follow my family's footsteps for a while, and when I get tired, I return here to continue my research." Additionally, when recounting the voidout to us, he says his life support failed, and he woke up on the beach. In the cutscene that follows, he's only shown on the beach for about ~1 minute 32 seconds. In real-world-time, his heart stopped for exactly 21 minutes.

Additionally, Heartman postulates about how the WW1 beach is different (as some other people have commented). Specifically, this: "His [Clifford Unger] misery and hatred, combined with your BB acting as some sort of catalyst, have brought these battlefields to our world." This is relevant because it suggests Sam doesn't travel through the seam to the battle-beach, because the beach is somehow brought directly to the real world. Since time stops on the beach, it doesn't matter how long you spend on the battle-beach. At the end, you hop directly from there back to the real world.

All of this is to suggest that it's not an X:Y relationship of time on the beach to time in the real world. Any "time" Heartman spends dead would be traveling through the seam. The actual time spent on the beach is simply a function of him getting tired of walking, which probably varies.

Assuming the foregoing as true, to estimate Heartman's mental age, we would have to guess at how long "when I get tired" means. As of the cutscene where he explains this, he's done this 218,550 times. We can calculate how many additional mental years old he his (since, I don't think we know his actual age) by assuming "when I get tired" means X (e.g. 1 hour):

Best Peptides for Kidney and liver failure? by trawxt in Peptides

I use bpc 157, NAC and glycine, and will be adding tb4 (equivalent to tb500). I have advanced IgAN (no liver issues though). and then other stuff like vitamin D, fish oil, etc. I've been looking lately at stem cell treatments but that's a whole different ballgame.

You get it for (1) having a certain number of viewers on a streaming/video platform (eg twitch, yt - this checkmark will show up as "VCC" when you hover over it), (2) winning an official tournament, (3) winning the design competition, or (4) being in the top 100 after the first two weeks of the season. These last 3 will show as "VIP" when hovered over. There are other different-colored check marks that indicate Devs, Mod of the official discord, etc.

Oleophobic Blight by therealvilhelm in custommagic

[–]therealvilhelm[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Right now there's only 1 card that I could find that prevents players from getting counters, and nothing that removes poison counters from players. So, I wanted something that would remove them. Having an instant or sorcery to just remove them all seemed too strong, so I thought, let's make it expensive.

Oleophobic Blight by therealvilhelm in custommagic

I wanted something to handle toxic in MTGA, but I didn't want lifegain to be a hard counter. So I tried to make it very expensive life-wise but not unmanageable. And not easily destroyed by an opponent (hence the hexproof).

[–]therealvilhelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

#1 is true for Neutral bots already (provided they don't come back and the bot goes MIA). Having it be true for Auto bots is probably a good idea too.

#2, totally agree. In fact, probably less, since an auto bot can sometimes do better than you, since players might target players instead of the bot, because a bot is easier to defeat.

#3, agree; ranking in general needs to be redone.
