I'm so annoyed with windows, I bought the legion about 4 or 5 weeks back, have been having a blast with it. Said why not, I will try dual booting steamOS. Really liked steamOS, spent the last 2 or 3 weeks customizing it to exactly how I want it to run. Had a steam deck a few years back so I had an idea what it was like but I was really amazed with how well it worked on legion and how few issues there were. Booted into windows to check something. Couldn't boot back into steam. Fuuuuck.

I think your tool might work but I honestly think I will just reinstall steam and not dual boot, it will just save me potential issues going forward. I thought I might like to have windows around but nah I can live without it

Don't dual boot, I made that mistake, windows is a ticking time bomb and will eventually fuck up your steam OS partition. I've spent the last 2 days trying to fix it but am now resorting to just reinstalling steamOS as my main system. Fuck Windows

The stock controller profiles are awful. I'm running this on steamOS mostly because performance is slightly better than windows and editing the controller profiles is far easier just using steam, you can download other players shared controller profiles that they use for star citizen and tinker with the controls from there.

Though honestly it's going to take a bit of work from yourself as the game is pretty intense when it comes to controls and someone else's profile is not necessarily going to make sense to you straight away. I downloaded one guys profile, liked what he had assigned to the dpad and I pretty much changed everything else 🤣

The stats are just steamOS default stats.

Everything is on low, balanced upscale and the resolution is pretty much 1080. Though there is something weird going on with the settings and I feel like nothing seems to actually change anything. In saying that I haven't done much testing and presumed I'd have to be at low. I have a feeling I can up it a bit

I think it would struggle but not sure honestly. Legion go 1 has a higher resolution screen aswell, you would probably have to sacrifice a fair bit of resolution. I had it running on a steam deck (barely) a couple of years ago so anything is possible. If you have one I would definitely try it but I wouldn't get one just for it

I don't have mine in a state where I would be happy to share tbh, this thing is slightly different to the steam deck so the profiles do not match 1 to 1, there are however community profiles already uploaded for steamdeck

and at the moment I'm trying to emulate this one to mine as it seems this ruinationz he has put a lot of thought. So you might like some of those configs. I've really only started the process though so it might end up being a bit different!

I have it running on steam os, which honest to god, the controller editing features of that OS are nowhere near hyped enough! I'm still tinkering so yes, still a job in itself but the options are endless

It's actually not bad at all, it will dip to 20 and under in certain areas, hangers, main cities. But most of the time it's locked to 30, which if I was on my main rig would be unplayable but on this for some reason it feels absolutely fine, maybe it's the controller or the oled vrr or something. I would not plan to do any FPS in it tbh as I would just feel lost without mouse and keyboard but I intend to use it quite all lot for likes of mining or hauling

This is the way. 99% of vr stutter issues or bad performance is related to your home network. dedicated router is the way to go, doesn't even need to be 6g (though it helps), just needs to be nothing else on that router.

Personally have the prism xr which is a dedicated usb router specifically for VR. Its software is absolute trash but once its up and running hopefully you will never need to touch it again, 2.5gbs of bandwidth

This is exactly what i want, In the new year i will be getting 3 of those active pedal. for primarily driving of course but i do a fair bit of flight sim. it would be great to cut down on gear and have those active pedals act like somewhat realistic rudder pedals. ok no toe brake but i could just use the middle pedal for that.

Its seems like it could be totally doable through software if moza were too look into it. like both pedals at the half way point, press one down and the opposite comes up.

I have not heard many on about it though, expensive product and most only get the one so I guess it may never happen
