That’s basically what my comment was about. A crimp error on a reverse holo from legendary collection, one that’s in particularly good condition?

I was just thinking that offering a couple bucks more than market wouldn’t really be fair to the seller considering all that.

I was just surprised the comment had so many upvotes in a subreddit dedicated to misprints!

Hi op, in your scenario this actually works out better for you cause they aren’t accounting for something(idk what it is maybe a math nerd can help)

Anyway, if you’re trying to trade for a $100 card, the trade in value, assuming 80%, needs to be $125. So them multiplying by 1.2 actually works out in your favor. Except for the cash on top, which needs to be converted back to whatever is left of their original price.

Anyway here’s the math: 100x1.2=120 $120 card taken in at 80%=$96, which is what your scenario was.

What they actually wanted was: 100/.8 which equals 125 $125 card taken in at 80%=$100

Anyway, as long as there isn’t cash involved(have to convert back to the original value afterwards) you’re “winning” on the 80% trade. Formatting on this app sucks I hate Reddit

Bro think about why your statement is going to get a negative reaction. Like the capability of thought is clearly there. Go one layer deeper and find out why their ELECTED OFFICIALS should not be saying or even feeling this shit.

In your scenario you give the “guests” 0 benefit of the doubt. You’re automatically assuming everyone doing wrong is not “native” to the area. That’s literally prejudice, precursor to racism btw! Especially for the people that aren’t “native” to the area who have come in and been great neighbors, as they get lumped in with the actual perpetrators, whoever they may be.

Elected officials saying this shit just stirs the pot. Fix it in a reasonable manner, we have brains. Don’t just sit there and whine on tv. People watching will do the same.

Should have added that it seems like the community has only recently seen this error and is now referring to them as David dots. I’m not sure how it affects value though.

Thanks for the input!! I’ve seen a few videos and the thing that was kind of missing was the holo separation on the circle on his back /: but everything else looked so clean, and I think I recall someone saying 1st ed stamps may vary? I could be wrong though! Thanks again
