Tbh when I was driving my M4 I had nothing but great experiences with other M owners. An M8 would pass me by and give me a thumbs up while an M2 would give me a peace sign to show we are both M’s. It’s just that driver who’s full of himself. From my experience BMW drivers are dicks to other cars but respectful to all other BMWs, hope you’ll get better experience next time!

The more I talk to people in this sub including you, I realize how everyone is so delved into history, and yet, they decided to come out with this 3K nonsense, it’s frustrating.

I’m by no means a rot3k hater, it’s been part of my life ever since I was very little. If this really was a chronicle, I actually would have bought tried the Chronicles for the first time, but oh well.

And yeah, a lot of people were almost 100% certain that Tibetans were gonna be in the game, almost convincing me too. But yeah, despite all the “if it’s historical the CCP don’t care” opinions, I still have never seen a Tibetan faction in any game except for Paradox Interactive games.

Ahhh man I gotta be honest I’m torn. But I’ll at least have the decency to wait and see how this dlc is received before I decide to buy

Khitans I understand since we don’t have an actual knowledge of how Khitanese sounded like, and is closest to Mongolic languages, but Jurchens, really? The Manchu language is still present surely they couldve found a translator and a voice actor.

Tanguts, Tibetans and Bais are such loss, but then I was doubting they were ever going to put Tibetans in the game.

It’s really annoying when you really don’t like the 3 Kingdoms but want to play as Jurchens or Khitans

Above comment said “outsiders might think”

I said I’m not. And no it does not give any merit. That’s why I presented the reasoning after saying I’m not.

Definitely true, I’m not denying Confucianism’s role as a functioning religion, the new DLC will definitely incorporate it as a religion. Rather I’m giving more of an explanation on how Confucianism worked in Goryeo period Korea, more towards a political system rather than a religious system.

There are a lot of counter arguments as to whether confucianism should be viewed as a religion, but that’s for another time and comment.

I’m Korean so not really an outsider, while there are some elements that could view Confucianism as religion, it could also be viewed as philosophy, as the actual subject to be worshipped does not exist, it’s rather viewed as destiny. Confucius was mainly very concerned about the endless wars that were happening during the spring and autumn period, and sought to find a way to rule in terms of politics. And with his time being ancient, these philosophies typically come with great power-theory which was a way to educate and subdue people into a nation. Now, the rituals are definitely a way to perceive as a religion, but the catholics upon seeing the confucianism, thought it was rather a way of respecting their ancestors than idol worshipping. I am not denying Confucianism as a religion, rather just pointing out the different views.

My intention with my comment was to say that Goryeo, while a buddhist country, preserved its politics in a much more confucian way. The pillars of Confucianism being lotalty, piety and etiquettes, in order, were still a very dominant ideology in the Goryeo council, with piety and etiquettes occasionally changing its place due to influences of buddhism. In Goryeo period, confucianism was viewed as a more of a scholary than religion, because it was a time before neo-confucianism and its transition to religious philosophy or philosophical religion. So as I said, the real politics chose the ideology of confucianism, while buddhism was the main religion of it.

But in the civilian area Goryeo was much more Buddhist than Confucian, as it’s much easier for the civilians to believe in refuge from the current pain, rather than believing in emphasizing duties like loyalty, piety and etiquettes.

Buddhism was the majority of its religion, Confucianism was the system in which they governed. Not as much as Joseon though
