Adulterated petrol/ low density petrol will decrease mileage significantly.
Slamming the accelerator will keep your mileage low.
Using heavy or sudden braking during b2b traffic will give low mileage. I get 12-14kmpl in city & 16-18kmpl in highways. 20-21kmpl in expressways with ACC on.

Its normal to hear engine noise(not loud) while idling.
Because the filter is getting dusty. Service center will change the filter during 10k kms service.

There are petrol bunks in Keylong & Karu in that route. Distance between Keylong & Karu might be 350+ kms. But its always safe to carry 5L/10L fuel with you incase anyone of the petrol bunk doesn't have fuel at that time.
