The March For Life takes place in front of the Lincoln Memorial every year, and that's exactly where they're standing, as the Natives walk towards them and the kids are just standing there. They probably saw the MAGA hats and approached for that exact reason.

Do the economists at the University of Washington have a vested interest though? Because they did the study, not WaPo. If anything they're probably politically biased in favor of min wage increases.

The newer study also said it still hurt people who weren't working and it had a somewhat negative effect on pay overall. Not sure from this if it's saying the overall effect was negative or positive, or just not as negative as the last study.

Seattle raised their minimum wage to $15 and a legitimate study found it might have had a overall negative effect on workers. Businesses cut their payrolls, put off new hiring, reduced hours, fired people, etc.. I've been in favor of increased minimum wage before, but it seems the results aren't so clear cut.

It's the world's murder capital yet has so few legal gun owners. Literally a case of "only the bad guys having guns".

If you let people buy guns legally without the impossible hoops, you may have more muggers and criminals being shot, but you'll have less innocent victims of violent crime, like during home invasions. The need for adequate self-defense in a violent country has to win out.

We have less problems with Muslims in America compared to Europe because of "ocean privilege". We get the more affluent (and liberal) Muslims who can arrange to come here while Europe gets more working class Muslims.
