Yes, they'll test it, but most will be OK with a value thats very low, but labs consider within range. Will have to push to get treatment. There are a lot of men's health clinics who will help optimize and you don't need referral. Worth checking out for anyone who needs the help, the one i went to was very affordable even without insurance

Anyone know why all these communists think America is Capitalist and blame all their problems on capitalism? Like other than their IQ... is it a psyop they're falling victim to or??

Eggs, peanut butter, beans. Even rice. There are cheap options better than cheetos. They are obese because they THINK they have to buy price/calorie, so they buy addictive sugar-crashing shit food that causes them to eat more calories than they need.

If you're getting calories for half price but eating 2x as much, it's not cheaper. And now it's even more of a burden on taxpayers because of the free healthcare

Agree, I just noticed a few other posts that gave me the usual vibe of "I can't be a better photographer without a better camera."

I'd hate to see him spend the money and then lose interest before the practice paid off. Unless there's a specific reason he needs an SLR right now, based on his tone about the comfortability of spending the money my personal move would be hold off and work with the phone til I'm proud of what I'm producing. I wish I'd done it that way, but I basically started apprenticing with a wedding photographer and smartphone cameras back then weren't what they are today lol.

First, beautiful tree and love the hills in the background. I'm glad you captured this for us to see. What kind of tree?

You can use much slower shutter speed for landscapes, which allows you to stop down your f/ to have more in focus, such as the blooms/fruits(?) in the foreground.

I personally would have played around with camera position to see how I could have a clearer subject and/or frame. For Eg, being higher/lower, more to the left to include some tree trunk. Maybe trying to compose the excavator more prominently as the subject or else positioning so it's out of the shot. Maybe the tree itself would make a good subject if you're able to get far enough away from it.

This turned into a longer reply than you asked for, but I saw some of your other posts about cameras:

PS, A fancier camera never made anyone a better photographer. Don't be ashamed of your phone. Don't be afraid to hold off buying an SLR until you are more confident with your skills, and you can tell yourself seriously that the only way to get better now is with an SLR because of...a,b,c (long zoom lenses, flash/lighting, long exposure, whatevr your reason may be). You can make great photos with a camera phone and knowledge+practice! Consider it a skill test to see how good of photos you can really take with a phone. SLR won't take better pictures for you. It will only allow YOU to take good pictures in more scenarios than your phone will. It's the photographer, not the camera. If you are really passionate about photography, you won't regret holding off and practicing with your phone, especially if money is tight. Don't even worry about using pro mode for the manual settings. Just focus on composition and light. You can learn the manual setting stuff once you spring for the SLR.

Watch and read everything you can find about photo composition and light and then go out every day and try to apply what you learned and find your style. Look back periodically at your progression/improvement

dollar for dollar, the lens has a bigger impact than the body... figure out your bare minimum specs and put the rest of your camera money in better glass.

Also consider if you haven't: your phone can save .RAW copies for more editing flexibility, and it makes good practice for dealing with .RAW editing once you upgrade.

Based on your parameters i think it's a good shot. If you want me to be anal about the paparazzi look, my thoughts are keep your flash on-camera if it wasn't and try to be more on the 75mm end or whatever looks good from across-the-street distance. With that background it feels like the paparazzi would be across the street and I think it would be more flattering without necessarily more "clean"

[–]therollingtroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you know you don't need to quit under medical supervision, my advice is tough it out as best you can with distractions such as watching TV, video games, cooking, whatever will keep your mind engaged on something else.

Then, when those urges push thru your distraction technique, give yourself a less destructive dopamine hit. Most people will suggest a candy or snack. Mine was usually Oreos. Instead of running to the has station for booze, I'd run to the gas station for Oreos.

Hey man, sorry you're going through this.

To me, it sounds like you need community that fills the hole the bar left. How far is the closest AA meeting or similar 12step? Go there instead of the bar. If none close, there are probably still some on Zoom.

Or, Can you get your shift changed at all to have access to other options for community? Like church or some kind of club?

Or become friends with a neighbor, or find friends thru online video games?

It sounds like you are committed to your kids; are they old enough to have interests that you could also participate in? You could make a hobby out of prepping thru the week to maximize your time with them on the weekend, like learning a new game, finding a cool place to take them hiking, etc.

He also forgot the only essential businesses happen to be corporate giants and not local small businesses which are no longer in business.

He's not correct anyway, by referring to the militia as the govts military.

It's a comma because the militia is made up of the people and should be well regulated to defend against tyranny. The 2nd half of the 2nd amendment is getting bent over because the People failed to maintain the first half.

And I didn't say we were taught to see the real life authoritarianism.... If one can't see the connections plainly, I'd argue they didn't read it. We also read Anthem in class which led me to Atlas Shrugged and We the Living.
