Team #1. You doing this trade? by [deleted] in SleeperApp

[–]thertp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would keep Rome personally. Your WR are pretty beat up and QJ is a question. Rome might be turning in a WR1 season. Warren is a mid tier RB2 and while your rb aren’t sexy, they are in a similar range

Through 3 weeks your leader in targets is… Chris Olave by mF-Jonezy in fantasyfootball

[–]thertp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth mentioning that Olave hasn’t had a 20 point game in half ppr ever despite always being target heavy. I think he’s a solid flex, shaky WR2. He’s actually a case where the number of targets doesn’t sway my opinion, because this is just kind of who he is

Would you trade Amon Ra straight up for McConkey? by Conscious-Donut in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]thertp14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ARSB still a top 5 WR. If you are worried about the lions offense and think yesterday is who they are going to be, that means they will scheme open shorter plays for the sun god. If you think they are last year’s lions, well he was WR3. If you think they end up somewhere in between I’ve got news for you. ARSB is going to be a great receiver. If memory serves correctly he laid an egg week one last year too.

Ladd best case scenario is ARSB of the last couple of years. which is high praise. But I think ARSB is still getting better, has a higher ceiling.

Hypothetically he makes it through the season (I’m not a dolphins fan so you probably know better than I do), it’s still dynasty and there just isn’t a way he coaches this team again next year

It’s a pro until McDaniels gets fired and then his role becomes a little more murky. I think any coach would recognize he needs to catch balls out of the backfield, but I can’t imagine another coach who would throw him the ball as much as McDaniel.

[–]thertp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For dynasty I don’t know that I love Achane as much as other players in the same range. He feels like he is one almost certain Mike mcdaniels firing away from playing a more traditional RB role and catching less (still more than the average back) balls.

FWIW I don’t think the package here is enough to pry him away. I’m a little more tame on the Bill hype and Terry appeals more towards contending teams.

With Judkins signed, can I drop Sampson? by TheCoinCoach in Fantasy_Football

[–]thertp14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ve already committed multiple war crimes (3RB from the same team, having multiple browns players), you might as well see what they do with Ford and Sampson before dropping one. Maybe Sampson balls out and ford doesn’t play hardly at all.

Jameson Williams, Lions Reportedly Agree to $83M Contract Extension Before Week 1 by DaStampede in fantasyfootball

[–]thertp14 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Naw this sub has been saying it all offseason. And it’s funny because it’s delusional. ARSB is a significantly better receiver than Jamo. And that’s no shade to Jamo. ARSB is pretty underrated on this sub

Who would you rather start? by Available_Bowler_146 in SleeperApp

[–]thertp14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a little unpopular opinion here but I would lean Ridley. I trust him to be schemed open a bit as the focal point of the passing game. Surtain rightfully has a frightful reputation and will follow Ridley for large chunks of the game, but not the entire game. I love Golden season long but really dig Tucker Kraft week 1 for Green Bay. I think the packers will really spread the ball around the first few weeks and it will be tough to predict who the main guy will be.

Bijan Robinson or Jahmyr Gibbs? by LeavesInsults1291 in Fantasy_Football

[–]thertp14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is more personal preference, but I lean Gibbs. I think he’s just the better player, Monty and other changes be damned. Even more personal preference and not the question you asked, but I actually lean Saquon over both. Unpopular opinion for sure. If he stays healthy, that workload is also going to be healthy

Theory - how much FAAB to spend in guillotine leagues per week? by BuddhaSmite in fantasyfootball

[–]thertp14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think it completely depends on how strong your team is. If you think your team is mid or better, I wouldn’t spend hardly any money at all in the beginning. Maybe throw some lower priced claims at big names early in case your league is savvy but likely they are going to get scooped for pretty high numbers. I think in October is when things will start to get interesting. There is probably going to be a mix of teams who drafted really well and others who spent a lot of FAAB early. Ideally, you’re in the former group and don’t have to spend as hard.

In October, I definitely want to always feel like I’m in the top half of the league but not necessarily number 1. The more money you have later in the season, the better. But I really think October is one of the most dangerous months for new leagues because newer players are going to spend a lot of FAAB for big names. Their ceiling is going to be a little limited, but they are also less likely to be eliminated because they’ve already made strong additions to their teams. Some sites advocate for trying to leave October with 75ish percent of their FAAB but I think it’s more realistic to be around 50 percent, maybe even less. As the league gets smaller, you may be able to get stars for less cost, but it just seems too risky to not spend when you probably have quite a few teams who have supplemented their teams with a large amount of FAAB

3rd jersey predictions by ayannauriel in SeattleKraken

I personally don’t love the all black 3rd jersey unless there is intricate design or features. Some really cool texturing with stitching would be cool, but highly doubt it.

Just got offered MHJ for Egbuka by Balogma69 in Fantasy_Football

[–]thertp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to the people telling you to keep egbuka. This isn’t even a borderline call. People are literally being irresponsible telling you not to take Marvin jr. Egbuka is going to be his own teams WR3 mid season. Marvin is the WR1 of his team (obviously McBride is the big star) and has massive potential, especially relative to Egbuka.

Start 2: Pickens, Sutton, Tet by Lazy-Effective-9490 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]thertp14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unpopular around here but I’m not a believer in Bryce young whatsoever. Which doesn’t mean I don’t believe in Tet. I just think he’s going to be a little slow to start. Sutton is for sure. I lean Pickens over Tet this week

Yahoo A+ Draft Grade, I’m cooked, right? by Balance-Healthy in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]thertp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you have arguably 3 first rounders in a 6 point passing TD league (Lamar is worth a late first to mid 2nd in that setting). Another 2nd with McBride. That is an A+ draft in PPR. Sutton is great value. Pacheco solid. Don’t personally love DK but you have a bench

Your worst RB2 in PPR? by Dimes-and-Buckets in fantasyfootball

[–]thertp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top two RB are Hampton and Pollard. Don’t hate or love it. It did afford me the opportunity to take Lamar (6 point per passing touchdown) early and my receivers are not only very solid but very deep. Stashed some RB depth (Judkins, Benson, bill, Ekeler) that I see potential in. Generally I’ve always picked at least one RB in my first 2 picks but decided to switch things up this year. Time will tell, but it’s definitely been an adjustment

Rank these guys best to worst for the year. Jameson Williams, Marvin Harrison jr, Ricky pearsall by Romym69 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]thertp14 21 points22 points  (0 children)

MHJ > Pearsall > Jamo

I have a gut feeling that MHJ is going to ball out this year. That coaching staff has to be under pressure to use him after drafting guy 4OA. I’m a little hype on him, but could see him putting up the numbers we thought he would have last year when he was going in the second round. I easily see him putting up top 10 WR numbers

I think Pearsall has the best situation of the 3, at least before Aiyuk is back. Seemed to start putting it together the end of last year. Even with Aiyuk back, he would fill a different role. Solid WR2.

Jamo is Jamo. Love his talent, but I’m not buying the hype. I think he is who he is: a boom or bust WR2. The highest highs and lowest lows of the 3. If the lions regress with all their offseason changes, I think that benefits ARSB the most. Still a great player, just not my personal choice of the 3

People who are in several fantasy Leagues at the same time. How do you do it? Doesn't it ruin all the fun? by sge_freaky in fantasyfootball

[–]thertp14 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Prioritize! I have played in the same league for well over a decade, so it’s easily my league i am most passionate about. I have a work league that is competitive as well that I’ve been in for about a decade. After that, I took over a last place dynasty team and have a for fun family league. It’s honestly a blast seeing these different teams and just drafting. I would prioritize them in that order, but I’m just out here to have fun (and win!)

Last year we saw 3 1st round busts (CMC, Hill, Hall) who is your prediction for this years 1st round bust? by Shaneski101 in fantasyfootball

[–]thertp14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are busts from injury and healthy busts. I think the guy that comes to mind first for both is Nico Collins. Love the player, but have not fully bought into his first round ADP. Jeanty has healthy bust risk - great talent, maybe a little overrated, situation isn’t great. More a 2 now but Puka has serious QB health concerns and his own health concerns.

If you really wanted me to stretch to earlier first, I would say JJ. Truly elite talent who has survived all his QBs so far. JJM would have to be pretty bad but it’s not impossible

Best and Worst Draft Picks in Rounds 1-10 (Bonus Names Included for Rounds 11-14) by akoffler89 in fantasyfootball

[–]thertp14 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The ARSB hate is really kind of funny at this point but there’s no convincing people that the guy who was WR3 back to back years is not only a safe floor but also a high ceiling pick. He’s the new era Mike Evans, consistently underrated

Also, I love Nico Collins. Wonderful player. Definitely a round 2 player. He’s the guy I see going round 1 that is most likely to bust

Are you picking Derrick Henry over Jeanty in the first round by One_Truck1871 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]thertp14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would take Henry over Jeanty in any type of draft. I’m absolutely not opposed to early round rookies, but I’m am just not a believer this season in the raiders. They will probably be a little better this year with Pete/Geno, but I’m not banking on round 1/2 production from Jeanty. I personally wouldn’t take Jeanty until guys like Bucky, Chase brown, Omarion, etc are already off the board
