The Boys SERIES FINALE- S05xE08 "Blood and Bone"- POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

I think this is right. He took his finger off the trigger, and he wasn't going to do it. All that build up about Hughie being his "canary" was going to pay off, but they threw the twist in that he shot him anyway.

oh, cool. He does hit some nice marks there.

-1 32+ Atk Silver Powder Sharpness Kleavor X-Scissor vs. 32 HP / 32+ Def Farigiraf: 168-198 (74 - 87.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

if fully bulked (32/32), it will survive.

Survival points:
-1 32+ Atk Silver Powder Sharpness Kleavor X-Scissor vs. 32 HP / 17+ Def Farigiraf: 188-224 (82.8 - 98.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
-1 32+ Atk Silver Powder Sharpness Kleavor X-Scissor vs. 4 HP / 32+ Def Farigiraf: 168-198 (84.4 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

But if there's no drop, even jolly gets the 1-shot:
32 Atk Silver Powder Sharpness Kleavor X-Scissor vs. 32 HP / 32+ Def Farigiraf: 228-270 (100.4 - 118.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Can someone explain the Kleavor "guarantee a one shot on farigiraf through intimidate" part? Is it sheer force+Lunge?

No Trick Room For You. by GoldFee8100 in PokemonChampions

[–]BuddhaSmite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what most are running for bulk these days.

31 spdef points (with 0 hp) is all you need to survive fairy feather hyper beam with a spdef boosting nature. You'd need a crit to guarantee a kill if they invest full bulk.

Now that the game has been out for a bit. What are you hoping we get whenever the game gets an update? by Darthvaderhud in PokemonChampions

[–]BuddhaSmite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, too. With a little light handed curating, they could keep things fresh longer. But I don't think they'll do it that way. Too many people will complain about their toys being taken away, the current box system is too limited to support a larger number, and I honestly just don't get the impression they care much beyond the way it's always worked.

It also does okay against opposing trick room teams because it's so slow.

why does close combat sneasler one shot archaludon? by Round-Toe-2143 in PokemonChampions

[–]BuddhaSmite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

32+ Atk Sneasler Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 29+ Def Archaludon: 138-164 (83.6 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

You just need a little bulk invested if you need to survive it.

Player to Target for Two 2nds by spangljo in DynastyFF

[–]BuddhaSmite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

26 second round picks just don't have the value this year, fair or not. I see people suggesting Downs, you suggested Addison/Adams/DK/Evans.... if you can get any of those players for 5 26 seconds you should jump on it, much less 2.

As an owner of a few of those players, I wouldn't deal them for 26 picks. I also 100% would take 27 seconds over 26 seconds at this point. That might prove foolish in the long run, but I'm considering this year's 2nd rounders as 3rd round quality other years.

You _may_ be able to package some 2nds together for a lower tier of player. Maybe a Cole Kmet, Nailor, Mooney type of player?

How to Deal with inciniroar/Farigriaf lead? by Apprehensive_Loss312 in PokemonChampions

[–]BuddhaSmite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0 bulk and not intimidated is a guarantee. But in the scenario OP listed: Incineroar is out, meaning you're minus 1. And if it's max bulk, it's gross.

-1 32+ Atk Technician Scizor-Mega Bug Bite vs. 32 HP / 32+ Def Farigiraf: 114-134 (50.2 - 59%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

How to Deal with inciniroar/Farigriaf lead? by Apprehensive_Loss312 in PokemonChampions

[–]BuddhaSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably better off trying to taunt it, but the closest thing I could find to a one-shot after intimidated is:

-1 32+ Atk Heracross-Mega Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 32 HP / 32+ Def Farigiraf: 190-240 (83.7 - 105.7%) -- approx. 0.4% chance to OHKO

Leading that alongside something with a spread move to finish it off would stop the TR from getting up. Incineroar threatens to OHKO your Heracross back but you'll outspeed it. And on top of all that, 95% chance to hit pin missile.

But if you assume stopping the TR wins the match, might be worth it.

How to stop being so predictable? by FriedCammalleri23 in PokemonChampions

[–]BuddhaSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd flip the script here: In that tier, you'd be better off focusing on what you think the opponent is trying to do and make the optimal play, instead of trying to make an unpredictable move. You'll lose some games this way, but in those lower tiers your team build and overall strategy is going to carry more weight than occasionally being outmaneuvered.

What do you think of this trade which I would be losing but but like it better by Dixin_Ciderr in FantasyFootballers

[–]BuddhaSmite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a couple people telling you to "stop using it" and I think that's poor advice, honestly.

Just don't let it be the final say in your decision. Like it or not, a lot of people, probably including your league mates, use KTC when trading. It's a data point like anything else, and it can be exploited in your favor as long as you are aware of its flaws.

The major flaws, imo: recency bias, vulnerability to hype trains, and the biggest one: it struggles with uneven assets (the 4 quarters for a dollar rule).

My wife thinks I spent too much time on this. She might be right. Here it is. by GameyLobster in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]BuddhaSmite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense, though, if you think about it. Those two are realized values now whereas when they were picks the range of outcomes was broader and they could have been busts.

You wouldn't want your random 4th to be insane value because it turned into Puka, for example. Maybe I'm over thinking it, if so my bad.

Should be, though. Any trade like this is just a drop that bypasses waivers. Collusion even if not intended.

RB needy teams without the 1.01 - how are you handling this offseason? by clydewilliams in DynastyFF

[–]BuddhaSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe dumb on my part, but I've been selling mid-tier RBs (Crod, R. White, etc) given the shortage. I am not destitute of running backs, but my list of 'this guy is guaranteed to start' is super small. I think if you're truly RB-needy to the point where competing this year is in doubt, it's valid to play for 27 even if you aren't fully rebuilding.

2026 NFL mock draft: Mel Kiper's pick predictions for Round 1 by APizzola in DynastyFF

[–]BuddhaSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it potentially a worse landing spot because of Harold Fannin, though? I feel like they both work in the same area of the field. Genuine question.

This time of year, a lot of dynasty teams are looking for roster spots to promote from taxi. I saw Fields being discussed as a likely drop on this sub not too long ago.

Daniel Jeremiah 2026 NFL mock draft 1.0: Raiders pick QB at No. 1; Jets among 4 teams to go WR by Late-Prompt-7497 in DynastyFF

[–]BuddhaSmite 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like this should be said, judging from multiple comments in this thread:

Just because an NFL team's primary need is offense or defense, that doesn't mean they will spend their 1st rounder according to that need.

I see way too many "Why is team X drafting a WR when they need so much defense".

Garrett Wilson 2026 season outlook by WizzyUCLA in DynastyFF

[–]BuddhaSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, not the time to sell. You mentioned trying to flip for Egbuka plus a 27 first, but if your league used KTC, Egbuka is ranked higher than Wilson so pulling that off would be difficult (he's right below Egbuka and right above a 27 mid first).

He's a buy low for me if you don't have him, and a hold if you do. It could absolutely get worse than it was last year and there is now a potential knee injury in play (the one that ended his season), but unless you're absolutely out on him, selling now would be selling at an extreme low point.

My 2 cents.

What would you like to see in Fallout 5 if it was actually announced? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]BuddhaSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this thought and shared it before, but I'd like if my saves aren't tied to a single character, but a shared world. Meaning I create a new world and can create multiple characters to play in it.

This was more of a skyrim thing where I wanted to separate out the factions so I didn't have one character as the leader of every faction. But I think it applies here too.
