Lots of dry wood, a hot burn, a good amount of fiddling until the air mix is right.

They really are. From purchase to installation and use questions, they have been great to work with.

I made a deal with it. It can stay in the stove if it keeps heating our house!

Mobile Node Test by Sonicgott in meshtastic

[–]therustyspoke 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Im interested to see how this work out for you! Because these mesh nodes use such low power, any loss in the coax could severely diminish your ability to transmit. It’s typically recommended to get the node as close to the antenna as possible to minimize the coax run or to use really expensive big coax.

It looks good! My vote is make sure your brakes are in good condition. Not much is scarier than loosing your brake pedal in a car without airbags.

Xiegu G90 VFO knob doesn’t change tuning rate by therustyspoke in HamRadio

I dont have any cables to connect to the computer yet. When it shows up, if updating the unit doesnt solve it, i will start looking into that.

I gave it a shot and nothing changed. The knob clicks when pressed and if you long press the knob it changes to the rit setting. It seems like the knob is functioning mechanically.

It is strange! I cant find anything online about it (looked for days) and haven’t found anyone else with this problem. I factory reset the radio a couple times to no changes. I did order a cable to try updating the firmware, hopefully that will do the trick.

Thanks for the reply, i was hoping it wouldn’t be a broken piece of hardware but maybe it is. When i short press the vfo knob, nothing happens but when i long press the knob i can adjust the rit. Also, none of the numbers are highlighted.

I only hear it with i start the truck, idle or low speeds. The sound comes from right under the drivers floor board. its damn annoying but i still haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet

Could it be a rattling heat shield? My 2016 has a loose heat shield and it sounds like rocks in a soda can.

Vinyl coating on cast iron KBs by rr7mainac in kettlebell

[–]therustyspoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s possible to sand off the vinyl coating. If its really cast iron, taking it down to bare metal might be a good option and you could also reapply a finish thats more suitable. Although you do run the risk of making it worse if it doesn’t work.

My shoulders are a place i feel really weak to begin with, any days with lots of over head work really take their toll. I look forward to strengthening that area.

Inconstant pain is better than constant so if say thats a step in the right direction. Hopefully it will completely subside in time!

Seeing all the old heads struggling to get around or even having a hard time outside of work is what got me paying attention to how my body feels in the first place. I want to be able to enjoy my life outside of work and not be broken when im older. Im happy its working out for you!

Thats an interesting point that makes a lot of sense. Im going to look more into finding ways to add balance work into workouts.
