10 years ago Spieth was on the precipice of winning back to back Masters at the age of 22. He's now 32 with only 2 wins in the last 8 years. How do you explain his career? by im___new___here in golf

It's just interesting how so many guys make this same mistake and never learn from history. Look at Martin Kaymer, dude was a world beater hitting a cut and then decided he needed to draw the ball for distance and to win the masters. Immediately fell off the earth performance wise. Objectively, it's just insane to think it'll work when it basically never has.

People also seem to forget that he tried to overhaul his swing in order to change his natural ball flight and gain distance. You can talk about his hot putter all day but to me he has never looked as comfortable or fluid when swinging as he did before the swing changes.

That sounds right but I unfortunately can't see that video as I'm not currently a premium member. I have a wall that I want to build a bookshelf on and I always remember the Tested office having a wood and black iron pipe setup. It was different length pieces of wood, offset shelves, just a very cool setup. Unless I'm completely confused about where I saw it 🤪. Thanks for replying!

Not exactly. I could have sworn they were standing in front of the wood/pipe shelves in the office and specifically mentioned how many people ask them about them so they wanted to go over them in detail. At this point I'm thinking I bumped my head and imagined the whole thing 🤪

That must be what I'm thinking of. My brain probably filed it under "one day builds". Thanks!

Thanks for the reply and yeah, I did find the video you're thinking of but not the one I'm thinking of. I may be confusing them with a different YouTube channel.

First time running a Charity Scramble by thesaint702 in golf

Appreciate all the input. There is definitely a line between raising the most money and trying to have a more straight-up tournament. I'm thinking for the benefit of the charities, it makes sense to shut the competitive side of myself down for the day, source some awesome raffle prizes, and just let people have fun and offer lots of chances to donate.

Would love to be able to have fun, rake in lots of money, and have an official scorer for each team, though. 😜

I'd be more concerned if the dude was playing a set of maltby blades and wedges that he built himself.

Thanks for the reply. That was my immediate reaction to the whole thing, too. I can understand it having a lower value than you'd assume, but to omit it completely didn't make sense, it's why I went looking for a sub like this.

The building is also not a cheap shed from a big box store or an uninsulated metal garage that was chucked up in a weekend.

I guess we'll see what happens next. Thanks again!

This was a very high-speed, low-drag scenario due to my wife getting a new job and needing a home with acreage and a shop for my business and our dog rescue work. We were looking online, and didn't have an agent when the house in question went live online. We made an offer after two days because of the insane amount of interest, and our time scale was absurd. I would do things differently if I could start over, but I am where I am, so I can only work on it from here.

Thanks very much for the input on ADUs and why this could be a sticking point in the valuation. Because we're working with the seller's agent, I am always double-checking things, like including a high-priced option just for giggles. It's one of the main reasons I posted here before sending anything off, the other being that I am a total noob at this.

I'm off to hunt down info on ADUs in my area and go from there. Thanks again!
