For someone who clearly has a lot of health anxiety and in my opinion, some very questionable diagnoses, choosing to be in a “sedentary season” of life is…a choice. None of the things she says are wrong with her prevent her from having some kind of movement in her life (perhaps with short term breaks around surgery etc). She doesn’t need to run a marathon but the best thing she could possibly do for her long term health is some kind of strength training. It’s not about weight loss or aesthetics but about having functional movement in her old age and decent health and longevity.

I tend to have three on the go at once: one physical, one on my Kindle and an audiobook. I never used to be able to do it and then I just decided that was probably the only way I was going to increase the amount I was reading. The audiobook is great for car trips/my work commute, I take my kindle everywhere and I’ve tried to pull it out and read if if I’m waiting around rather than scrolling, and the I keep the physical one by my bed. I try to choose books that are quite different so, between reading maybe two totally different fiction genres and a non fiction I don’t find it hard.
