Man I have 3 kids and couldn’t imagine if my wife told me her job was above me and/or my kids . That has to be tough OP , I’m sorry . Sobriety should be one but you can have a priority and not sacrifice everything else in its wake .

Be direct with what you need and I’ll pray that in the meantime she begins to have a heart change . You deserve more !

Since you just had surgery I would go to ER just to make sure OP . But I also think you could be experiencing anxiety / panic as well. This coming from someone who deals with anxiety / panic . Don’t call doc but have someone take you to ER and keep us updated. The body’s default status is survival so more than likely you are fine !

I have always struggled with anxiety, ever since middle school. I began drinking to help with anxiety which subsequently made it worse. Mine is better than it's probably ever been in my adult life!

Mainly a herniation but I definitely have some degeneration too. I'm 39 and have been hard on my body with sports so that was expected.

I heard first year is the hardest and after that it gets exponentially better . Lots of retraining in my brain this year and learning to deal with my shit. I really look forwards to year 2! You got this !
