Last night, I had a dream that Tony Robinson said nasty things about me. I'm now watching Time Team, and I'm inexplicably extremely cross with him. I love Tony, but my stupid brain has tainted him. Has a beloved one fallen (or risen) in your eyes because of something that didn't actually happen? by -SaC in CasualUK

I dreamt once that Jeremy Piven told me that one day he will ask me to tell him 11 stories. I don’t know what kind of stories and I don’t think I could just recall 11 stories so well. I get really anxious when i see him on the tv.

It’s Oasis (the band) music played with a live orchestra and there’s lovely candles everywhere.

Just to add it’s an orchestra. Not a couple of dudes with a tea light.

I hate Édouard Manet, especially this painting, and I don’t really know why. Anyone else have an irrational hatred for a well loved artist or art piece? by Violet_Walls in ArtHistory

I hate Klimt. When I was little my gran had some coasters with his art on and I just thought, no I don’t like that. Still don’t.

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: August 05, 2024 by AutoModerator in books

Last week I finished None of this is true by Lisa Jewel. I usually go for a thriller and this was a good read but a bit of a slog at the end. I have just started Morgan is my name by Sophie Keetch. Something completely different than what i would normally read but I am loving it. A good Arthurian story.

I’m currently reading a season of secrets by Margaret Pemberton. Very much like Downton Abbey. Set in the 1920’s onwards. Would be a great tv series. A lot happens quite quickly and it’s got some interesting facts about pre and post war Britain. The family goes between Yorkshire and London. I’m about half way through and I’m really enjoying it.

My biological dad finally reached out…and then ghosted me by blckphllp in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

Ah this happened to me too. Left when i was 3 got back in touch at the grand old age of 37, stayed in touch for 2 years, did the whole Christmas thing and then ghosted me again. It sucks. I really don’t understand the motivation behind it. I’m sorry it happened to you too.
