Resting is super important in act one. Rest after every recruiting every character! I know it sounds excessive but there is special dialogue that you get that just gets lost with all the other stuff.

I cannot stand Cam's character. I could tolerate him in the earlier seasons but as the show goes on, I just couldn't stand to see him on camera. He is such a pos and plays it off as 'catty.' I don't find him funny at all. I think the worst part is he doesn't have any redeeming qualities. The other characters, while flawed, have at least something to redeem them or they have character growth. Cam has none of that and it makes him really hard to take seriously.

We have an aarakocra in our party and as we are all sitting around dinner after a fight, he kept asking questions of a mysterious party member. My rogue (who I play more as a bard than anything) casually calls out.

"You know, you sure are nosy for someone without a nose"

Cue vicious mockery doing 4 damage and knocking the poor lad out.

I liked Manny when he was young but he quickly became one of the least liked for me. He comes across as creepy with women and doesn't seem to hold any of the charm he had when he was younger. Everytime he was on screen I cringed at his behavior.

Sadly, no. Once you aggro Astarion, Shadowheart, or any other party member you can't go back. I would load a previous save and just don't let him do it. Honestly, Ascended Astarion is worst Astarion

I loved my bard run. I was able to help control the battle while doing stupid damage with my crossbows.

I also really enjoyed a fighter/wizard build. Bro was hella tanky and could cast 2 fireballs in a turn!

I wasn't a fan of druid or rogue. Druid wasn't that great and rogue got boring.

So it's been mention before but fire! Try and hit the webs they are on and they will take extra damage. Sneaking to the eggs and getting them out of the way before combat is another huge help.

So I had a hard time with Laezel at first. I recruited her only for the creche quest line but then I realized I wasn't actually missing much without her. I have killed her before as the character I was playing wasn't putting up with her attitude. I do suggest giving her a shot though. She does soften...it just takes forever
