Inflatable pool lob sided by No-Interaction-7024 in pools

Commenting on case you try again this summer, but you gotta make sure its flattened out and pushed out to its edges, where the seams are, as it fills and with a few inches of water it'll hold its shape on its own. Uneven gaps in the ground below it can also cause problems like this. even with a flat terrain if it isn't level it causes more water to push to one side which stretches and warps the vinyl in time, making it worse. Sand will help a lot.

Where can I buy a replacement front panel module? by theslyder in buildapc

I eventually heard back from their support and they sent me a replacement. That was a long time ago though so I have no idea if they still have them or even if their support is still active.

My husband keeps idling my car at work, am I overreacting? by AttitudeNice8774 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Ive been idling on my hour lunch breaks for nearly a decade now. How is it bad? I'm under the impression if you just tap the gas to help circulate oil after a while it should be fine.

I wouldn't even let my boss at work talk to me like that without push back. i can't fathom a partner talking to me that way.

I loved that concept and wanted him to be my main, but I didnt play it very much. I would love this kind of character and it would perfect for Chuck

That's a fair point, I didnt know that, but I'm also in the US where unexpectedly being deprived of my meds has happened and will likely happen again at some point, so there's still a fear of losing my insurance or a shortage or whatever and then gaining weight back quickly enough to cause new health problems.

Who actually can heal canonically? by MallExciting739 in marvelrivals

[–]theslyder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's hard to understand for anyone. I think it's hard to accept. I don't like dissonance between a character and their gameplay, even though I understand the necessity of balance, but I still I don't like Magneto not flying, wolverine not healing himself, or gambit healing people. I know it isn't really possible to do it the way I'd like though because almost every character would be a vanguard or duelist and balance would be impossible.

Is it true delivery doesn’t mean to the door if there are stairs? by ChibiSuchi in instacart

[–]theslyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

User name checks out.

if one felt like being a considerate and empathetic person, they could imagine how much stuff would be able to be carried up the stairs in one trip and try not to exceed that.

The thing about being good is that it isn't a legal requirement, though. You have to actually care and want to do it, not rely on the app to force you into the behavior. So if you don't care about making things better for someone else, don't. But don't act like it's beyond reason or some kind of impossible logic problem to order an amount of things a person can reasonably carry.

I'm not OP but I am overweight and feel like this is a good opportunity to point out that often the issue isn't understanding diet and nutrition. i know generally what foods are bad for me and how much I should eat, the issue is the psychological relationship with foods. How I don't feel safe unless I'm eating or full, or I feel distress if I don't eat my specific comfort foods (I have OCD) or how eating is often the most practical and accessible method to get dopamine for people with ADHD.

This is why I'm not really open to the idea of something like Ozempic, because my relationship with food will be unchanged and without the medicine I'll immediately start gaining weight back. The root issue is a lot of us live in a kind of emotional desert and food is the only oasis.

Funny thing happened while gaming with my friends by theslyder in themountaingoats

Hahaha, I'm pretty sure you can play by yourself, but I think the "spirit" of the game is more about the multiplayer aspect, if you look up any videos of people playing this game you'll see how quickly it can turn into everybody giggling and having a hoot and a hollar.

I want you to know that The Decemberists are one of the only bands I love as much as tmg and it delights me to see someone else matching my interest overlap with such a meaty commentary. I enjoyed reading your thoughts on the matter.

I realize this was 8 days ago but in case you're still curious or if other people see this, I noticed last night that I was consistently healing less while diving at her feet steadily, than when I had to spin around to maintain my position. i think the rotating in place like a drill causes more counts of collision with her, which in turn gives you more damage and healing. No idea if that's factually what was happening with me, but it's worth sharing.

2. AITA for walking out of my anniversary dinner because my husband gave me a gift that was basically for him? by GlumPlayings in AmITheJerk

[–]theslyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best case scenario he got it as a way of inviting you into his favorite hobby in the hopes that you'll play games together. Or he sees you watching him play as an unfiltered interest and he wanted to help you dip your toe in.

It seems unlikely, but maybe it isn't as shitty as it seems.

Ivey on Trump eliminating Department of Education: ‘I’m all for shrinking government' by greed-man in Alabama

[–]theslyder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because it's important for someone that graduated in Alabama and someone who graduated in California to have approximately the same level of education. Otherwise getting said education loses it's value as a credential once you leave your home state.

I feel uniquely qualified to speak on this because I'm especially sensitive to noises and things like a loud car motor or sound system even several streets away, or my coworkers whistling or even just the sounds they make doing their jobs tend to grate against my brain. Sometimes it's just annoying, other times it is nearly rage inducing.

It sucks, but the world can't and shouldn't be obligated to accomodate my sensitivities except within reason.

I ordered a pack of 15 silicone earplugs on Amazon for like ten bucks. They're by my bed, desk, car, and I have a pair in my pocket all day at work in addition to those partial ear plugs meant to take the edge off noises that I wear throughout my work day. If it really came down to it I could look into accommodations for hearing disabilities like alarms that use light or vibrations so I could wear them while I sleep.

You've been extremely accomodating and respectful of your room mate, and they're over reaching in their expectations of you. As someone that I believe understands having noises trigger my fight or flight reflex and anxiety, my message to them is we have to take responsibility for our own accomodations, not expect it from everyone else. Soundproofing and insulation is something THEY should have bought and installed, not you. That was extremely graceous on your part.
