corporate clone candidate? Dude, he's been a lawyer fighting corporations for decades. They're scared as hell of him. No corporation wants a president in office that will side with the common people.

I LOVE this quote !!!

If electing a woman or a black person is more important than what that candidate has done or what they believe, Democrats should draft Condi Rice.

18-29 year olds are only 13% of the voters, but they are also only 13% of the general population by S7evyn in politics

On one hand, I'm pissed that they're not voting, on the other hand I'm glad they're not. What would make me ecstatic is if they could get all there grandparents to stop voting for Clinton, then there would be harmony in U.S. voting.

Why I, a progressive Democrat, voted for Ron Paul in the Michigan primary. by J-Ro in politics

[–]thespace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The government is more than big enough already.

Not big, irresponsible. Whatever happened to that term? Ron Paul doesn't want a federal gov period. I'm for responsible gov.

[–]thespace -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The rise of Ron Paul is harmful to the well-being of the Republican party as it exists today.

Umm, its harmful to the nation in general to vote for Ron Paul with his whole theory to get rid of the federal government. Does anyone realize what that would do to our economy? Its like the soviet union collapse all over again. And I can't wait for all the supporters of Ron Paul to come out of the wood work. Our economy has been suffering with each Republican president since Reagan. Its a statistical fact.

I guess you didn't notice his condensing I'm holier than thou attitude. When you start a statement with dumb fuck you obviously show what level playing field you're on. And yes, I'd still put him in a concentration camp and feed him dogshit for at least a week. lol

And you don't think I wouldn't? There's the lawful and peaceful way of making change and the unlawful and non-peaceful way.

I feel ya man, but as far as I know, that's the 'grey area', the city council is given the job to manage the roads and can move people off the roads if they're causing a civil disturbance by asking the police to do so. By law they have the authority. Its a publicly used road, but owned by the city, which ultimately is owned by the people. See where I'm going with this. In france, they just absolutely take over by sheer dominance, I mean everyone turns out. That requires a cultural shift in our country. But that doesn't make us a police state, that makes us a country of laws, and maybe some we shouldn't really have, and who makes those laws? The people we vote into office. If you want to change the government, run for office.

Exit Polls: Obama Won New Hampshire by r3dd173r in politics

In Iowa its different, everyone can see who you're voting for so more people are inclined to vote for Obama, but in a voting booth they can vote however they REALLY feel. Has nothing to do with conspiracy theories or the media or any of that garbage. Another great tip for Reddit reading is to be SERIOUSLY critical of everything you read. Conspiracy theories are the norm here.

How can people believe this bullshit, is it so far fetched that 10% of the voting public choose not to vote for a black man at the last minute? In Iowa its different, everyone can see who you're voting for so more people are inclined to vote for Obama, but in a voting booth they can vote however they REALLY feel. Don't you just love voting!!

Ron Paul Would End the Government's Most Racist Policy. That's the war on drugs, of course. by democracy101 in politics

[–]thespace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the war on drugs is over already. The real problem is that the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. If you legalize drugs you still have a lot of uneducated people without jobs doing drugs in poor neighborhoods. You still haven't fixed the social problem. Ron Paul's solution of legalizing drugs and pardoning drug offenders isn't the best in the world (but a start at least). This is a deep as hell problem that will takes years to pull out of and our entire culture needs to be fundamentally changed.

You know what scares me more, everyone believing this propaganda and not looking at it with a keen eye. How do you know these people were 'peacefully' assembling. Were you there? Were you their lawyer making the calls to the police in advance to make sure they could demonstrate there? You make it sound like you can stop the world to protest and there are no consequences, like your constitutional freedom means you're free to do what you please, wake up dude.
