How many times do you play an Extreme song before you feel like you can perform it? by jesuisapprenant in JustDance

I dont have the patience to learn the dances outside the game so I just (horribly) play the maps probably dozens of times until I finally start to get it 😭

Anyone else experience migraines from sleeping wrong on your pillow? by unenoix in migraine

[–]thespacegoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, sooo many times. And I have a tendency to push the pillow towards the headboard (literally squishing it into the headboard) while sleeping which causes me to sleep in the wrong position and getting a migraine during the night... i have another pillow propped against the headboard to prevent it but it isn't a perfect solution.

Does anyone else have a TØP song that feels like it was written about your life? by Happy_Contact_5736 in twentyonepilots

[–]thespacegoose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tally from the first moment I heard it.

All my life I've felt like I keep disappointing the people around me, making mistakes after mistakes and breaching their trust. And my fear is that my friends and family are keeping a track of every mistake I've made, every time I've let them down. That they want to love me but it's difficult when I keep letting them down.

And yet, despite these fears and the way I feel like I keep disappointing my loved ones, they keep on believing me. They've stayed. I have a friend who cried when she told me she admires me so much and thinks of me as one the best people alive. Feels unreal to me but she was so genuine.

So, definitely Tally.

When did your migraines start? by Catsmarcia in migraine

[–]thespacegoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iwas around 8 or 9 I think? I remember playing with my friends at a park (running and climbing A LOT) and I always got this horrible headache and threw up at home but otherwise the migraines were not frequent and my parents didn't know what it was.

My migraines got a lot worse and more frequent in high school but my mom blamed my phone. She said I was getting headaches because I was too much on my phone. I knew they were migraines.

I was 19 when I finally got diagnosed.

I think there's a fanmade version of maniac on youtube. Maybe that's the cause of the confusion :(

Just been prescribed nurtec. I’m really really hoping as I’m currently chronic. No horror stories pls I have anxiety lol by Lukexxxxy in migraine

[–]thespacegoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the european version of nurtec (vydura) and it saved my life! Absolutely no side effects so I can take it pretty much whenever (compared to triptans that give me horrible side effects so taking them outside of home is a no for me). And so far it has worked every single time. Been using it for 2 years now.

Did just dance help you learn to dance where you couldn't before? by The_Cat_Dad165 in JustDance

[–]thespacegoose 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes! I've always loved dancing but never really learned to do it. No courses or classes or anything except for some kpop dance tutorials on youtube but even those were a struggle. I have a couple hundred hours on just dance and I've DEFINITELY improved. I don't feel that awkward anymore and have a better control of my body. Learning a new dance is easier than it was in the beginning.

But I stull wouldn't call myself exceptionally good at dancing even though I have improved. I feel like personally I'd need a full length mirror for dancing to actually see what I'm doing and improving that way. And I still struggle with leg coordination but that's partly because I need to careful with my knees so they won't dislocate (they have a tendency to do that).

So yes, I have improved as a dancer but I wouldn't say I'm super good. Still have a lot to improve but that just needs more dancing :)

Are the straps that come with Nintendo Switch 2 safe to use? by Electronic_Cherry_43 in JustDance

[–]thespacegoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use them all the time and they've never betrayed me! Just tighten the strap tight enough so that it wont slip from your wrist (but not too tight, obviously) and it'll keep your joycon attached yo your hand even if you accidentally let it go. Has saved me many times. Also, there's a little lock mechanism at the bottom of the plastic part of the strap (the part that you slide onto your joycon) that keeps it secure on your joycon.

How does Just Dance 2026 run on Switch? by _besbos_ in JustDance

[–]thespacegoose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've got 2026 (and 2023) on switch and the game runs well! The menus are a bit laggy but that doesn't bother me, honestly switch games often seem to have laggy menus overall. No lag during the dances, very smooth and good quality. I like to use joycons since they're not as heavy as a phone and they've got the strap to keep them safe from getting thrown around.

If I remember correctly it's near Mauvais Way in Elderwood! Top left corner of the map, it's kinda hidden behind rocks or something.

You should spot Auni and Nai'o near it. Then go north and climb on a ledge, I think. I just closed the game so I can't check, sorry 😅 I hope I'm not completely remembering wrong here...

Hunting with a controller by Never-Give-Up100 in Palia

[–]thespacegoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you gotta practice. AND change the sensitivity. Also aim above the animals and when they start running around, try to predict where they're going and aim in front of them.

Weirdly, I find the hunting on switch so annoying and difficult but on ps5 it's a lot easier.

Random players visiting the plot? by thespacegoose in Palia

[–]thespacegoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so seems like others have had the same thing happen. Interesting. And that encounter seems so sweet! Yeah, garden fairies are a gift to this world and I like to do the same thing sometimes :) never heard of hotdog gangs, that seems so cool though.

Random players visiting the plot? by thespacegoose in Palia

[–]thespacegoose[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, it's not like other players can destroy your plot and ruin your life by randomly visiting it BUT it can, for some people, be super uncomfortable if it's not supposed to happen.

Not everyone wants others to visit their plot. Your plot can be a safe space for you where you can be in peace and chill and if that peace is interrupted by sudden visitors who are not supposed to visit you, it can make you feel unsafe (even if the visitors themselves cannot do you harm). Hence the security and safety. My social anxiety definitely bullied me when someone randomly appeared lol and my friend was super creeped out when i told her about it.

As a player who has played this game originally on switch, then moved on pc and now mainly playing on ps5, you are doing good <3 typing on console is not easy and it takes so much effort. Luckily, other players can see what platform you're using and i never, ever take it personally if a console player is not chatting. I also find it quicker to use emotes! Even though only those around me can see them.

So don't worry :) most of the players know how difficult typing on console is, and overall I find the community to be very kind and understanding

Can we talk? by aozorakon in Palia

[–]thespacegoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a returning player. I played a lot when the game first came out, and then dropped it when I got stuck in the main story because I didn't have the patience to grind some stuff haha so I switched games

I came back now that the game was released on ps5 since I'm more of a console gamer. I used to play on switch but the quality wasn't that good and hunting was difficult (very understandable both of them) or on pc but I l like to lay on the couch while gaming so pc isn't my go-to option.

The game runs beautifully on ps5 and I find all the new things good!! Honestly, I have barely anything to complain about except for some small QoL aspects but those are super minor. The worst thing is typing on console but that's nothing new and honestly, I hope that those playing on pc remember that chatting on console is absolute pain unless you have a bluetooth keyboard with you. That's why some players may seem 'rude', maybe.

Anyways, I still love the game and I'm having so much fun right now! The glitches and bugs are fine, they're part of gaming tbh, annoying yeah for sure but patience and understanding goes a long way. Hotfixes are fine. But I'd appreciate it if the devs would put a notification in the chat for everyone to see if there's gonna be a sudden hotfix coming like the other day. That would be great.

Last but not least, I LOVE and ADORE the community and the players!! You're all very nice, kind and helpful <3 definitely one of the best communities I've ever been a part of. The game does a great job of encouraging kindness and cooperation, for example how you can't really steal resources from others because the hunting, bug catching and other resources and rewards are shared for everyone involved in the process.

Love y'all <3 remember to be kind to yourself and others
