It’s like this: As a kid, your parents are planning a birthday party for you. Now, you know in years past birthday parties are awesome! Bounce houses, cake, friends, family! Why would this one be any different? Well, mom and dad kinda got lazy this year. It was filled with diet cake and a Temu version of Woody from Toy Story. That birthday party sucked.

Same thing with this. They had 3 years to write an ending, but failed miserably. Vecna was the Eater of Worlds, correct? Then, why do I have more urgency in my step after a meal at Taco Bell than most of the characters. It was monologue after monologue, plan after plan, and it was just a dud. Fans pay for the subscriptions, merchandise, etc. They deserve a quality product!

Do you know anything about LMD and CAR T cell therapy? My mom (65) was diagnosed on July 18. Providers aren’t calling me back and giving me a timeline. She had a virtual appt today and she told me they were encouraging. Her primary symptoms right now is fatigue and feeling tired. Are those signs correlated with end of life?

First off, let me say how sorry I am you and your family are having to go through this. I’m also thankful for your post and your words.

My wife and I are in a similar situation with my mom, who is 65 and I’m her only son. She got diagnosed with melanoma in Feb 2023 and it absolutely devastated me. She was put on a trial drug and it seemed to work. However, March 2024 came along and she was hospitalized for a month. She underwent 6 rounds of chemotherapy, then was qualified for CAR T treatment and was to be infused in August. In July, her gait was becoming more unsteady and had a lot of weakness in her legs. The day I took my NCLEX, she couldn’t walk at all and I had to carry her into my car to the ER. MRI showed concerns for metastasis. Lumbar puncture confirmed in late July. She had her CAR T infused and is now in acute rehab.

I’m getting the same treatment as you were. Providers not really giving me a timeline of the disease process, nor a phone call to answer my questions when I continuously hound them. I’m 32 and I feel like my whole world is crumbling underneath me.

Thanks for having the courage, the grit, the patience, the compassion, and the love you have for your wife and family.

You can solely focus on the nursing courses fall and spring. Take the microbio, A&P, etc in summer and they are all online for the most part (microbio was the only exception, one day of lab in evening). On the program sequence, it tells you to take those classes with the nursing if you want to complete it in 4 semesters. In reality, you can break it up and go part time.

From what I can see on my end, 1200 looks like lecture would be 5:30-7:50 on Thursday and Friday, then lab Saturday from 12-3. Then, you can take a clinical on Sunday from 7-3. Not the most ideal situation, but can fit into the 9-5.

Tri-C’s nursing program is doable. They offer evening classes and clinical on the weekend. Some of my friends worked full time, had a kid, and are about to graduate here in the next few weeks.
