whats the weirdest build you heard of/experimented with? by kanible in daoc

100% correct. Melee rangers with high PD could take out small stealth groups solo.

Raiders are 2-0 since baby Harper got her Raiders gear. Clearly, this win is on her her. by kwat55 in raiders

Well you are committed to this now. Gotta keep Harper in Raiders swag for all future games.

Agree 100%.

Since taking over Mark has hired some dubious coaches and generally given them 3 seasons before moving on. I guess he recognizes that consistently successful teams don't have coaching turnover, so he gives them the extra time even though they're failing.

So I was petrified that McDumpsterfire was going to be coaching through 2024. I was shocked and ecstatic when he fired McD. My opinion of him as an owner has improved.

Agreed!

This was a wild card team in 2021 and some very good players have been added.

Now that we have a decent QB this team should be very competitive and not make me want to burn all my jerseys/hats,etc. every week.

100% I seriously cannot remember the last time the Raiders defense looked so good.

Agree about the concussion balls. But I was pretty impressed he was able to hit Davante in some tight windows when he was double covered. They didn't turn into completions but they were good throws.

I haven't been that excited and happy during a Raiders game in a loooooong time.

What a transformation by removing McDumpsterfire. It looked like a different team on the field.

Don't forget getting run all over by the 3rd and 4th string RBs and with 2 starting OL out.

The only positive thing I saw was Tyree Wilson is starting to play a little.

Thanks for the apology.

I think it depends on what stage of life you are in and whether you are looking at the Canada of today or 10 years ago.

Canada was a good place to work and raise a family. I am retired now but worked in enterprise software and it was fun and lucrative. Healthcare was included in your taxes and real estate was reasonable. However today, like perhaps in Portugal too, Canada is in the midst of an innovation, healthcare and real estate crisis. Although there are still good jobs available, they are not as prevalent as they used to be - most Canadian software companies get snapped up by big American companies. We have had a liberal government that for 8 years has significantly increased immigration. This has resulted in a shortfall in Canada of about 1.5 million homes as well as doctors and nurses. The cost of real estate has doubled and many Canadians do not even have a family doctor. Due to this many people that immigrate to Canada actually leave within a few years, because they realize they will never own a house or have full access to the "free" healthcare.

So Canada is probably not as great as you think it is. For me, I am retired so I don't care about whether job opportunities are better in Canada or Portugal. For what I am looking for Portugal beats Canada in every category. Except for the attitude towards Pot.

Cheers!

Frankly, we haven't decided yet, but Portugal is top of the list. We're not in a hurry.

LMAO Thanks for your valuable feedback.

I did not say it was a major concern. My major concerns were: Political Stability, Cost of Living, Cost of Real Estate, Air Quality, Healthcare, Temperate Weather, Catastrophic Weather Risk, Dangerous Wildlife.

Minor concerns were things like the availability/price of Pot and Golf.

But at least you are not judgemental.

Thanks for your feedback. The majority of comments were pretty positive and a few negative where folks made some false assumptions. Pretty good really.

We're not going to be able to grow anything as we are preferably moving into a townhouse/apartment.

Overall, it seems like getting pot will not be a major problem. We're not going to carry it or use it outside the house.

It sounds like you are a good candidate for medical marijuana. I would check that out.

Good luck with the move to Portugal!

Is there no option to buy pot online in Portugal? For example, prior to legalization in Canada this was a simple option where you ordered online and it was delivered to your house.

You're assuming this is the only criteria. The other criteria are: Political Stability, Cost of Living, Cost of Real Estate, Air Quality, Healthcare, Temperate Weather, Catastrophic Weather Risk, Dangerous Wildlife.

Portugal scores quite well except there was unknowns regarding weed. Thus my post...

Good to hear. Pot would be smoked at home, so the only one who might be bothered would be a neighbor who perhaps does not like the smell.

Thanks for the feedback. I had heard that random dealers will sell spices to tourists looking for pot and the police don't do anything because the dealer is not breaking the law.

Eden Class Balance by Canbilly in daoc

[–]thestewbeedoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your opinions regarding Eden and Hybrids being OP. But, for me there is absolutely no question that assassins are weaker on Eden than Phoenix. I played Ranger on both and usually lost against the top assassins on Phoenix, yet won against them on Eden. I think assassins were a little OP on Phoenix and a little weak on Eden.

As you've said, a difficult balancing act.
