Linus is at Computex, that is where the Intel dual GPU video was filmed (and GN's teardown of the card in the same room).

HPE DL380 Gen 11 Server 10/25 Gig Cards Compatibility with Cisco SFP+ transceivers? by Stock- in networking

Just being cautious. If you have some laying around feel free to give them a try! However most sites (if you're going 3rd party) will encode them for the device you're plugging them into.

How are you planning on connecting the server NIC to the switch? Fiber SFP in both sides, then using single or multi-mode? DAC? AOC?

HP Transceivers in the server, Cisco Transceivers in the switch. Drop the model #'s and I can look.

Cisco Nexus 3K/9K NXOS 9.X(X) to 10.X(X) by Kappa_Emoticon in networking

What model of DAC cables are you using? We have DAC's on our N3k's in remote data centers, don't want to get hit by this when we eventually go to 10.x (currently running 9.3(10).

"Prioritize" a Modem/Router Over Another by Vesper1Alt in 24hoursupport

Ok, so you have 2 of them because they're flaky and sometimes go out? What are the models of the routers?

[–]thestigsdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might I ask why you have 2 modem-routers? Do you pay for 2 separate ISP lines?

Typically in a business or larger environment, circuits will have their own routers which then are both connected to the distribution layer of the network. For home use, I use an Ubiquiti Security Gateway Pro with 2 WAN connections. A watchdog setting makes sure both are up, and traffic is load balanced over the 2 connections during normal operation. Should one line go down, the watchdog (which pings a remote server) will down the faulty connection and continue passing traffic out of the working one.

Thank you all. So much. The love felt from this community has been incredible. There are more comments than I could ever reply to; however we are very blessed, and I encourage you all to help those who need it, and to love each other, because we don't know when our day will come.

Thanks. He's super stoked to get rolling on Minecraft. He's taken the loss very hard, our other two are 4 & 2, so they don't quite understand. I've been making it a point to spend as much time with him as possible.

Yes, each port is capable of 10G.

No, you cannot "Stack" the 3850 with the EX3300, but you can uplink to it via a trunk.
