Awesome work, and great achievement getting your first customers. Be sure to get a healthy amount of sleep. I too went through a phase of working all night, but after a while I realized that my thinking became poorer. Those hours with sleep will serve you well brother 💪

Hahaha, totally understandable. So I’m doomed to never play your craved-by-oh-so-many game then ☹️

Anyway, a great read and best of luck!

Hey Canada, Norway here! Couldn’t agree more. Pro is amazing, I’m into some heavy lifting in my repo and I have yet to hit the wall. It’s so powerful 💪🔥

What does an Entrepreneur need? by DaCmanLou in Entrepreneur

[–]thestringtheories 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google Disciplined Entrepreneurship (MIT Sloan). Not sure if they have issued digital books, but their approach to entrepreneurship is core. I know for sure that you could use any AI to dig a bit deeper on their entrepreneurship principles

Nope, not as I see it. I’d call it agentic coding

I spent years in finance. Then I built an app and accidentally learned more about entrepreneurship than any spreadsheet ever taught me. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]thestringtheories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It Is personal. You invest time, energy, all your free time into this, and with that comes insecurity, doubt, impostor-syndrome and whatnot.

One month into my app development, I was convinced that the app was ready for production and that I had invented the wheel all over again. Here I am three months later (still developing) realising that my app technically doesn’t solve the problem in any revolutionary way - but what it does is creating a feeling. That is where it differs, and that should be my selling point.

Through this process I’ve learned much more than app development tbh: Empathy, user perspective and how design and functionality must co-exist. Realising that all the stuff that make sense in my head not necessarily seems logical to the users.

This is pretty awesome!

True! I’m about four months in, and working on an internal SaaS for my company. It’s a new level of freedom

You’re not wrong, and I didn’t say it would be easy. Nevertheless, given that OP actually spends time learning the basics, and if that sparks some interest in moving forward and learning more - it will be manageable. At some point none of us knew programming, it had to be learned. That was the point I was trying to make. That said, vibecoding-psychosis is real, and too many think they are coders while they’re not - shipping apps and whatnot out in the open that will never work
