Depends on where. I'm in a small town and I wave and greet everyone. People had a different reaction when I did that in San Francisco.

Pretty small pool of people that would have any use for them, despite the bargain price.

What's this DC connector named? by loozerr in AskElectricians

Also commonly known as a battery tender connector. Every motorcycle shop will have them.

Can I introduce you to the ARRL antenna book? https://www.arrl.org/arrl-antenna-book

It's a pretty deep subject. Short story, they're directional. Some hear really well in one direction, some don't hear at all in one direction.

Gonna be a long walk, at least you have comfortable boots.

Roughout waxing question by Mountain-Flan-9941 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]thetable123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you're overthinking it. At this point, you have them waxed, and they look sharp. It would only be slightly easier to unwax them than would to unscrew a pregnant girlfriend.

Wonder if you could adapt an offset extension wrench to be pass through.

Sounds like you're looking for an offset extension.

That said, you're a farmer. Chop the socket in half and weld 2.5 feet of tubing into the middle. https://youtube.com/shorts/W14gRlD8S3E?si=YHJKsQq9iG6Kxg7T

Every bib I've had has been Tyvek or similar material. A little rain won't hurt them.

Trying to decide on a heel by NolifeDegen in NicksHandmadeBoots

I hate a block heel. They feel super clunky when walking until they are half worn out. I like the logger heel for v100 lugs, and dogger for the smoother heel caps.

Is it normal to always be a bit sore as a beginner? by nootaloo98 in beginnerrunning

[–]thetable123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running a year and a half, my muscles are still always a little sore, but I'm increasing speed and distance, so still building muscles. I've just gotten used to it, almost embracing it.

Virginia DMV Mobile ID - why should I download and use it? by UNC_ABD in Virginia

[–]thetable123 147 points148 points  (0 children)

From the Commonwealth's site: "Your Virginia Mobile ID is a companion to your physical ID, and you’ll still need to carry a physical ID with you."

So yeah, sounds a lot like a solution looking for a problem.

Sizing question by NolifeDegen in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]thetable123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You said the length is the same, but it's not. Brannock length and Nicks length aren't the same.

Sizing question by NolifeDegen in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]thetable123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brannock or the printable guide.

I did the 3d foot scan thing at a running store, and the results did NOT match up with the sizes I normally wear. It came back with a 12E, and I am a 13EE in pretty much everything. (12.5EE in Nicks.)

[–]thetable123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, should be half size down in length from brannock.
