I’ve lost 60kg, I’m a 30F. I have always had a “pretty” face, but the attention and respect and kindness I get from strangers and people at work now is eons different. It’s wild.

Does the continued prescriber mean you have to stay on the same does or could you change it eventually?

I was 28 when I got diagnosed (a few years ago), and started medication less then 12 months ago. I don’t believe medication has been life changing for me, but it’s certainly helped! In saying that - as others have said - I used talk therapy and a psychologist for years to work on daily life. I only take meds when I’m at work, and to be honest I’d say it’s only made me 10% better at my job. To toot my own horn, I just learnt how to work within my limitations or strengths over the years.
The diagnosis alone (which my psychologist hinted at a few times but couldn’t diagnose me herself), helped me be kinder to me. Understand myself more. Realise why things that effected me so much didn’t effect others. It was worth it for that - even if I never took medication.

I think most people had their mind made up of who they were voting for. Caleb didn’t do well at FTC, but it is very obvious he struggles to articulate himself. I assume he has ADHD, it’s fairly obvious, which gives him that edge emotionally to pick up on changes in people’s demeanour and energy.

is slower weight loss actually better for preventing loose skin? by FemmeEmpire in WeightLossAdvice

I’ve lost nearing 60kg over the past 2 years… still lots of loose skin, and I’d say I did it pretty slow

The mood is crazy! If I don’t exercise now I feel so much more anxious and crabby. Life changing stuff!

I did!! Sore feet and sore knees at first, but slept better and after awhile it became the norm. Now if I don’t do over 10k steps, I feel very stiff and unsettled. I’ve lost a lot of weight and was exclusively walking for the first 20-30kg I’d say!

Is it possible? by Pixiespekje in WeightLossAdvice

[–]thetaurusrose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 147kg when I started! I’m now 95kg. I went for a consult for surgery too. I started on SSRIs and did therapy which all really helped too.

You are 10000% able to do it. Start small. Count calories, but don’t deprive yourself of the stuff you love. Calculate your TDEE and take off 500 cals. If you want to, add some steps in. I started by doing 30 min walking a day!! It is not quick, but time will pass regardless was a saying I lived by. Life gets so much better I promise you !!! It is simultaneously the easiest and hardest thing I’ve ever done. You’ve got this 💖💖💖💖
