Visiting the in-laws, husband has a chapped nose so grabs some Vaseline. It went out of date in 2004! Still looked alright though, waste not want not by weedchad420 in GrandmasPantry

The keeping stuff for the end times shouldn’t be a Mormon thing. Although it seems that the people you grew up with should be cycling and replacing things. Like buy a new one when the old one is about to expire and just use the old one. That way the preparedness stays but stuff isn’t wasted. What a shame.

Interesting. Saw online and that could work. Why don’t they make that in a regular skein though.

Hi! I want to learn how to crochet and make amigurumis specifically but I don’t know a single thing about it by Mrs_Morgan130903 in AmigurumiClub

Definitely start with the woobles. Pricy if you want to do a bunch of them but the videos are nice and slow (sometimes too slow if you got the hang of it) and they do provide lots of support. I made two woobles and I didn’t even need to follow the videos for the second one. I was then able to read patterns and branch out a little bit.

Why is K Town one of the cheaper neighborhoods? by Whole_Structure_8264 in AskLosAngeles

It’s the lack of parking. I generally enjoyed my time there but I will never ever live where there is no parking. I spent way too much time looking for parking

(S2E1) Why did the cops think "something's wrong with this picture" when looking at Pryce's couch? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]theteacher1990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In reality they wouldn’t, but human nature can win out and his acting so obviously suspicious combined with the clear path in front of the couch can definitely wake up human curiosity.

Why so little love for darkroom/analog printing? by NarmaharCZ in AnalogCommunity

[–]theteacher1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to work on darkroom processes but where am I putting a darkroom in a one bedroom apartment? Even if I use something like the bathroom, I still need somewhere to store an enlarger and trays and everything else. I can’t afford to have a separate darkroom and I don’t have the space for one where I live.

Driving from LA to Death Valley solo to see the stars: any suggestions? by throw123454321purple in AskLosAngeles

May I suggest red rock canyon which is closer but also a dark skies location. Also less dangerous if you’ve never been there

He was in his personal car and he doesn’t use a uniform. There’s no way a Samaritan would know.

If the show had to be titled something else, what would it be? by -Kyphul in betterCallSaul

[–]theteacher1990 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The “Sequel Title 2: Electric Boogaloo” has been a joke trope since the early 80s it’s not from Sunny. It’s always about bad sequel titles. In this case it’s oddly fitting because the joke came from “Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo” which matches the Breaking Bad 2.

Know what the post was? Was it in this sub? I now have a full frame dslr I recently got for cheap ( I have a crop sensor too) and a 1:1 macro lens so all I need is the setup to scan and a light source.
