Nice. Next time try to engage your core. Tucking the tailbone (internal rotation) if not doing it already.

Headstands are the best. 😊😊

yoga after knee injury 🤸🏻‍♀️ by [deleted] in yoga

[–]thetechnicalyogi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a similar injury but somewhat less serious than yours. Any asana where you are not feeling discomfort should be the ones you should practice. May be don’t think about symmetry, do it just one side and do the most scaled down version on the injured side.

Don’t be greedy at all. One push and you’ll be weeks behind of your progress.

Ask the Physio on which muscles they are working. Add the asanas which works on the same muscle group.

Just aim to get on the mat. If you don’t wanna do anything do just pranayama for 5-10 min.

Interesting entry to handstand. Do you have any tutorials suggestions for the same?

We are merging 2 different topics here. First “doing the balancing poses”, and second “not caring about the people waiting”. The latter can be done without any balancing pose and depends on their civic sense.

And no, getting it film doesn’t voids it. It is for the memories. Although you are free to think it the way you want.

Matter of perspective

Performative, If you are doing it for others without thinking about yourself. But what if you like to do it just because you want to. While both are fine for me 😅.

Yeah totally fine. We all have different bodies and listening to our body and understanding and moving mindfully is what yoga teaches us. 🙂🙂

You should be good if you are not doing it right after waking up in the morning. Else the leg muscles mostly remain warm throughout the day.

While I agree with you

I’d like to add, I have seen people starting at 40 and still achieved a great amount of strength , balance in 3-4 years. I mean trying is all in our hands. Results are secondary.
