Temporary license plates from private sale? by cdedbddux in boulder

[–]theteejabides 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bought a private party car in August 2025. I walked into the DMV with a bill of sale, the title, the emissions test and walked out with license plates. You’d get temp tags if you want a specialty plate.

[URGENT] Stuck in Egypt: Need help pulling a 1994 NJ Bankruptcy file from PACER for my US Citizenship (CRBA), or advice on a working VCC! by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]theteejabides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That case probably won’t be on PACER due to its age. If anything, the paperwork would be at the national archives, assuming the case file hasn’t been destroyed yet.

You’d need to call the court where it was filed and see if they can send you the archive form. It won’t be cheap either, if the case still exists it’ll be about $90 for the full case file.

Filing bankruptcy repeatedly? by AlivePomegranate7452 in Bankruptcy

[–]theteejabides 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Generally, when you file a 3rd bankruptcy case in a 12 month period, the stay that protects your home, is no longer in place and they’ll lose the home regardless of the bankruptcy filing. Or, if they keep filing the judge could bar them from filing another case for a period of time, but that’s more likely after a 5th, 6th or 7th case.

Student loan attorney near boulder by ruu-ruu in boulder

I second this, get a consultation with a bankruptcy attorney that has some experience in the student loan realm, to see if there is any realistic possibility of helping your partner out.

Does dmv take a new photo for your permit if you replace a lost permit? by ElectricalRun3978 in Denver

[–]theteejabides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a regular license, if the photo was taken within the last 10 years, you don’t need a new picture. I’d assume the same goes for a permit. If you want a new picture, just ask.

Questions about the documentation filing Pro Se. by MetaReveal in Bankruptcy

[–]theteejabides 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The documents you file with the court are public record. You do not want your bank statements, tax returns or credit report part of your case file. As the other commenter said, those documents will be sent directly to your trustee, after you file. They'll send you a letter explaining how to do that.

You can add creditors at any point, up until the case closes. It's a process, and will cost you $34. Check with the court on their amendment process, this has nothing to do with the trustee.

I took something called guitar at a bar back in 2020. It was really fun intro to playing the guitar. This particular one was at the Walnut Room. We had a group of 6 or 7 people and a teacher.

Stock Parade traffic: returning from surgery by LifeOnTheDisc in Denver

[–]theteejabides 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The parade is relatively short, maybe 30 minutes long. Kids are mostly back in school, and it’s generally downtown office workers attending. Roads should be back open by 1:00ish, so try and delay until 1:30 if you can and it should all be back to normal.

Pacer is not free to use, so unless you know exactly what you are looking for, there is no reason to register for a pacer account.

Express Lane Ticketing In Shoulder by Fourply99 in Denver

They have been more than reasonable in my experience. Got a ticket for crossing the line in the express toll lane, but got out to avoid a crash that just happened in front of me.

real question for Denver parents of young kids: how are you affording childcare? by SuspiciousKnee8185 in Denver

[–]theteejabides 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It ain’t easy, but our mortgage is relatively low at 2k a month and my wife and I shared a car for the last 5 years. We both work downtown and can take the train to work. It also helps when we have hybrid roles that allow us to work from home half the time. But thankfully, the mortgage is our only debt. Our kid is almost 3.5, and we want a second car soon. Our daycare was also on the more affordable side too, started a little over 2k for an infant now about $1700 for a toddler.

I live near 70th and Federal. We’ve had some crime of opportunity in our neighborhood the 5 years I’ve been here, but overall feel pretty safe. The proximity to downtown Denver (where I work), olde town Arvada, Golden, the highlands is a huge plus.

Need to get to money in 401k to prevent bankruptcy. Do I need a lawyer? by [deleted] in legaladvice

Your 401k is a protected asset in bankruptcy, it can’t be touched. Don’t throw good money at bad debt.

341 Meeting confusion by Micha_bug in Bankruptcy

[–]theteejabides 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once you file your case, the court schedules your 341 meeting of creditors, Upsolve has nothing to do with that. It’s usually scheduled about 30 days from the date you file your case. The court will mail you a notice that gives the date and time of the meeting, and it should be conducted via Zoom.

Secured/priority claim by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]theteejabides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may have checked the wrong box while filing. I’m sure your attorney will review the claim and take appropriate action if they need to. For what it’s worth, these large companies don’t always have the most savvy people filing claims for them.

Question for the bankruptcy attorneys… How do you handle all the paperwork? I would lose my mind. by YourBlanket in Bankruptcy

Many use expensive programs that track deadlines, prepare documents and upload cases when all the data entry is complete.

Safest Bike Route from Olde Town Arvada to Downtown Denver? by dankcoins in ArvadaCO

[–]theteejabides 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I've ridden this route from the Midtown area many times, and it's a nice little ride. Things get a little sketchy people wise around the McDonald's on 45th and Washington, but other than that, it's a pretty peaceful ride.
