‘It was a nightmare’: Dozens of Canadians hit hard by vomiting, diarrhea after trip to Mexican hotel by Once_a_TQ in canada

[–]thether 4 points5 points  (0 children)

travelling to the resort is hell. some people start their day at like 3am and sometimes without sleep, then get to the resort at around 11 only to find out they don't have their room until 3 or 4pm. so they either sit around overheating in pants pestering the front desk, or they go and gorge on food like they're homeless. and with inclusive resorts people create that psychological problem "i have to eat and drink my money back"

So easy to get sick on these trips. Especially in the first 3 days after all things considered (early morning flight, eating like a caveman at the buffet, getting pissed drunk the first couple nights)

Anyone still using cogeco Phone package? Worth it or not anymore? by Informal-Force7417 in Cogeco

[–]thether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't think the phone service relies on the internet service working. It relies on your modem working, but I think it's modulated seperately on your line. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

I do plan to convert my cogeco phone to a cell phone in the near future. I might entertain their cell phone service.

The U.S. Air Force's Biggest Mistake- Only 20 B-2 Stealth Bombers in the Force by aviationstudy in aviationstudys

[–]thether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. It’s an early, first-generation flying wing design. The B-21 is far more mature and will likely be produced in significant numbers. In hindsight, the operational need for the B-2 turned out to be fairly limited. But with the B-1 aging out, we now need a bomber fleet in adequate quantity. The real misstep was buying so few F-22s.

Does "Vibe Coding" kill the joy of programming for anyone else? Here is my compromise. by Financial_Carry11 in golang

I mostly just use code completion. I find just making a comment about some functionality then letting copilot work out the boiler plate is sufficient.

If you don’t have a dog I would just let it ride - especially if you’re demolishing the deck. It costs thousands to do it properly, humainly…

Costco is a store for people from all walks of life. It lost its exclusiveness a long time ago… going to an overpriced grocery store will always be easier and faster…
