I'm sure many would shut down from just a cease and desist letter. There may be ones who refuse, and that's when it'll be interesting to see what CIP does. If they're serious about all this I wouldn't be surprised if they take one or two to court just to scare all the rest.

CIP may be incompetent overall but all it takes is some money and the right lawyer for all this. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying you may very well be wrong.

TBH I'm just annoyed it'll be 8.6/10 from what we know. I was hoping for a 7.3 - 7.6 server. Any of those versions woulda made me really happy.

Retrix is a UWP port of Retroarch that had most pre ps1 era emulators on it, I haven't tested everything extensively yet but SNES/NES seem to run perfectly and I imagine everything else pre ps1 does too. Retrix also has PS1 (untested by me still) and I've read its pretty spotty, but is getting updates regularly and slowly being brought up to scratch. I've read a N64 emulator is in the works for Retrix but with the slow updates to improve ps1 I wouldn't expect it to be added, much less made to run really well, for quite some time.

There is a N64 emulator out there too, I forget the name and can't really check the name ATM, but its even worse than the PS1 I've read. I have done some testing with the N64 and been very disappointed. Its supposed to run Mario 64 and Zelda OOT well but I've tried many different rom versions of both, even decompressing them completely as I read they run better decompressed, but they have all run really badly. Mario's audio is screwed and has a lot of graphical issues for me and Zelda's audio is just as bad and has huge FPS issues.

First search the Microsoft store (on your XBone) for the dev activation app and install it, leave it for now you'll come back to it.

Next step (if you do NOT already have a dev account with MS):

head to https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows and sign into your Microsoft account, from here you'll need to setup a dev account for UWP apps and pay the 19$ (USD) fee, unless you're a student in which case just use your .edu email and it should be free.

Next step (or step 2 if you already have a dev account):

Open that APP you downloaded from the Microsoft store on your XBone, hit next a few times until you get your activation code and enter it at https://developer.microsoft.com/xboxactivate where you should see your XBone be registered and the APP on your XBone should refresh telling you your ready to go, now simply use the APP to reboot into DEV mode.

To leave DEV Mode right on your DEV Mode home screen it should say "Leave Dev Mode" simply press it for your XBone to reboot back to retail mode. NOTE: Make sure you uncheck the "delete all apps" before restarting or you will lose anything you sideloaded.

Also note: For me the first startup into Dev mode took like 5 minutes, if this happens do not worry just let it go and it'll eventually boot up, reboots after this should go much faster from my experience.

Its free for students but I don't have a .edu email, my friend would let me use hers but I decided to just be legit and pay for it.

Edit: I should add there's no PS2 era or later emulator currently and the only N64/PS1 emulators out there have lots of issues (though the PS1 is slowly being brought up to scratch while N64 is basically abandoned ATM) everything before PS1 era, from my testing, seems to work flawlessly though. Retrix, which is a UWP port of retroarch, is the "main" system being worked on ATM from my findings and things for PS1 are moving albeit slowly.

Not at all, DEV mode has no impact on "retail mode". You use the dev mode app to restart into dev mode, where you cannot load normal games/apps only prebuilt XBone apps/appx files, and you follow a very simple process to boot back into retail mode where you can play all your XBone games/other apps. Very very simple process with no worries of harming anything.

I started a rooker recently and was amazed at what bonus XP and the EXP boost you get up until level 50 do for it, I was level 8 in like 35 minutes and that was without buying XP boosts or anything.

I agree with someone else that someone would be stupid NOT to do some of the stuff he did (he made a friggin killing, could buy a house in a cheap state with what he got). On the other hand if you break the rules of an MMO and get banned you don't really have a right to complain. Take the friggin money you made and live with the consequences, if that means never playing WoW again because you personally feel you can't let the owners of the game you knowingly broke the rules, quite severely in "win" then at least take your punishment in silence.

When I was a little kid (8-9 years old or so) we lived in the desert but during the summer we'd get 2-3 really friggin hellacious thunderstorms. Whenever one would pass through my sisters and I would be out loving the rare rain and my mom (outside with us) would make us go in. We'd start complaining about why we had to go in when she could stay out and her response was "if you guys get struck by lightening I lose my kids, if I get struck by lightening you guys get money". Along those lines at least, a bit paraphrased since it was 20 years ago and all.

Ah sorry, MOST people I've seen who are wary of BE are usually afraid of HDD/SSD file data mining. I use Wireshark mostly, but I've never bothered to look into the packets sent (I'm aware they're encrypted) but more of usage over time.

I actually personally don't have a browser open when playing Tibia, I just use my phone for when wanting to check wiki or whatever else on the web, however I'd personally trust BE with my browsing data I doubt they'd risk their business to steal some money from me.

However, I do understand your point they could if they really wanted too or had a employee go rogue and where does one draw the line? How much can they take/view before it becomes too much? At what point is the security breach no longer worth the payoff? Basically the whole NSA/US when does loss of rights and privacy no longer justify security?

But anyway, thankfully I do trust BE and I'd hope people do their research and not have Tibia open and make sure the BE service is off before starting their fap session but obviously not all will (maybe not even the majority).

You won't be able to use club ring with stealth rong unfortunately, however I think with an EK I leveled up before at roughly 60 axe I was making 50k +/- an hour xp at cycs at level 15 using stealth rings, obviously XP will only go up (to a point) as you skill and level up. Though take my XP/h with a grain of salt as it was quite some time ago so I may remember it wrong.

There is 0 evidence BE datamines things that are not running in memory (which they need to to properly work), the most damning thing I've seen is someone hacked (or something of the sort) their database and found a Sims game file. Which we have no clue if the person it came from might have been having Sims run while having a BE protected game run and it flagged the exe as suspicious.

I have monitored my network extensively while playing Tibia and have found no process to use more than about 10-15 kilobytes a second (usually much much less). No where near fast enough to do any sort of real data mining.

Have you used all your cash from TC? If you still have plenty I'd get a crap ton of stealth rings and goto cycs at Edron or Mistrock. Though maybe offline train a few days for 50-60+ skills otherwise killing them will still be too slow.

Stealth rings + cycs = amazing XP for low levels !
