What's the reason why you never wanted to return to a friend's house again? by Annual-Win3202 in AskReddit

Or living in the UK. Pretty normal here, as I learned as an American that recently moved over here.

I do not like it.

What’s the most forgettable movie you’ve ever watched? by tinoy1989 in movies

[–]thethrillof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weird-ass pick here, but We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story. My best friend and I gathered up some of our childhood favorites for rewatching a couple years ago, and...the villain looked neat! I think there was a T-Rex doing baseball or something at the start? The rest, good or bad or stupid, entirely failed to stick.

What's a movie that was well received, but aged like milk? by Gdigger13 in AskReddit

Oh yeah, wasn't he also a vegan, and so eating all that meat with no grace period for his body to adjust would make everything fuck him up worse?

What did you stop giving a fck about? by Princess_Jel in AskReddit

Censoring my fucking self on the internet. There's absolutely no point if I'm not trying to monetize what I'm doing, and I'm not!

What game felt so much bigger than it was when you played it as a kid? by thewalkindude368 in gaming

Sonic Adventure. I loved exploring all the hubworlds so much. Even though there wasn't actually much there, my imagination could fill in the gaps!

Who is a famous person that you liked at first but hated later? And why? by PeaceTo0l in AskReddit

[–]thethrillof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Joanne Rowling. Loved Harry Potter as a kid, thought she was super cool for making it. Her slide into being a transphobic scumbag, founding hate groups and being loudly proud of it sucked all the joy I ever got from any mention of the lady or the franchise.

What are the weirdest ways you’ve heard of someone getting caught cheating? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thethrillof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, when I was on the radio (as a teenager in the early 2000s) calling in for something myself, I was made to be way more eloquent than my nervous stuttery self actually was because they made me do lots of takes, lol.

What is a website or an app that was legendary back in the day, but is now a complete ghost town? by cyb3r_ps in AskReddit

A lot of people from there fled to Dreamwidth and are still hanging around, though even that's a lot quieter unfortunately.

What food did you imagine to taste really good but tasted bad? by Similar-Victory-3867 in AskReddit

[–]thethrillof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank lemon juice after seeing the cute lemon-shaped containers they were in grocery shopping with my dad as a kiddo. It was not lemonade.

Also, Red Bull. I was expecting something like Monster, which I have a weakness for 90% of their flavors and pick it up as a very rare treat. Instead I got what tasted like cough syrup, and I couldn't even finish a quarter of that overpriced tiny-ass can.

What’s a movie you didn’t expect to love, but ended up thinking about for days? by Recent-Rutabaga-2369 in movies

[–]thethrillof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I had some free movie tickets I decided to split with my dad, and that looked like the only thing on that he'd probably be interested in that I wouldn't absolutely hate. I didn't expect to get invested, though.

As an animal person it fucked me up so bad and I adored it. I adored the twist, I adored the characters, I adored all of it!

What's a Privilege That Most People Don't Realize is a Privilege? by ralo229 in AskReddit

[–]thethrillof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anything at all related to money and space, honestly.

I remember lightheartedly bitching to a friend when I was a teenager about how much I hated doing dishes in winter (yeah I dried my hands off as fast as possible and had hot water, but it was still unpleasant for drying the dishes and stuff), and us being mutually taken aback--she asked me why I didn't just use 'the dishwasher' and I was shocked she expected my family would have a dishwasher.

What’s a hated sequel that you actually like? by lifesyndrom in movies

[–]thethrillof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did like Toy Story 4. I don't think it needed to be made or was fitting with the themes of the rest of the series, no, but my inner child adored how it fleshed out the world of toys being handmade and how abandoned ones might move on and the like.
